So Overlord is getting an anime?
How the hell are they going to not make it a horrible mess? It's pretty brutal and has stuff like real lesbian sex.
It's probably going to be as censored as Terraformars.
It's a LN isn't it?
>>118677060
Yeah. But quite a bit different from average LN.
>>118676509
Lesbian sex isn't a problem, see Cross Ange.
>>118676509
I'm not sure, but if the anime gets ahead of the LN translations I will be a bit pissed.
>>118676509
real lesbian sex? Holy shit OP. I hate fake lesbian sex
>>118677859
Volume 2 is getting translated at a decent pace. There is hope.
>>118677451
The protagonist gets TWO harems?
So, what is this one all about?
>>118678041
Not every LN is haremshit for Christ's sake.
>>118678064
Dude gets sucked into an online game
But this time
He is
The
Villain
>>118676509
What makes it brutal later on?
I read a manga chapter and wasn't too into it.
>>118676509
>real lesbian sex
Never seen that before.
>>118678074
To be fair, that guy have a point. A considerable amount of LNs have been said by /a/ to be 'different than your average LNs' but turns out just to be the same shit.
>>118678133
Wrong.
Endgame raid dungeon gets sucked into a real fantasy world. And the bosses are the main cast.
>>118678074
Well.... he DOES kinda have two girls fighting over him, though I doubt that counts as a harem.
>>118678133
In his defense, it's not like he's TRYING to be a villain. not by this point in volume 2 anyway.
>>118678064
"Dude trapped in MMO" Except the MMO servers are cut and the game is cancelled, so he basically develops into a lich GM as the world within the game continues to exist anyway
>>118676509
It always bothered me that this guy's design looks just like Zack.
What is with Japan and online games and people getting sucked into it or the game becoming the real world
And I thought the "Average dude goes to fantasyland" was cliche
>>118678377
A few things in this genre got popular, so a lot of people copied it.
It's a plot setup, and there's enough creative license that authors can do a lot with it.
As well, it might be an admission that if anyone from japan WAS put into a fantasy land at this point, they would constantly compare it to a game anyway.
>>118678377
>What is with Japan and online games and people getting sucked into it or the game becoming the real world
>What is it with Japan and just cribbing whatever plot elements or character types got popular
>>118678377
Because Hack Sign.
And this one is more like MMO game goes into a fantasy land.
>>118678550
>As well, it might be an admission that if anyone from japan WAS put into a fantasy land at this point, they would constantly compare it to a game anyway.
Makes kinda sesne just like in Tate no Yuusha
>Man, this is like an MMO
>This is so MMO
>My skilltree is just like in a MMO
>Am I in a MMO?
Do they even have single player games over there anymore?
>>118678245
Liches don't have dicks anyways. What is he going to do? Cast bone lance?
>>118678377
I think it depends on how they go about how the character interacts with the world.
If there's still menus and shit, pretty generic.
If its closer to log horizon where the mmo rules still apply to an extent, but they're changing closer to reality and can be manipulated then it becomes a bit better.
If it has no mmo environment then its just a generic fantasy world suck in.
the getting sucked into an mmo is just a way to have someone in a fantasy world without having them born there. Its a basic setting like anything else. There's only so many ways to start a story, what's important is what you do with it after you start it.
>>118678867
>nips ever doing anything alone
You think the hivemind would ever cut itself off? even the so-called otaku's band together over there.
But besides that, what is MGS?
>>118678892
That doesn't stop either albeto or the necrophiliac.
>>118679259
People band together everywhere, its just human nature. Japan just has more emphasis on it socially while America is more for strong individuals.
>>118676509
All these summoned to another world stories are great, but I'm a bit tired of the "average X age guy" being transported. I want to read an LN where someone from our world gets pulled to another world just after a tour in the 'stans. Fighting goblins one minute but going all PTSD as soon as someone touches powder off.
>>118679332
Well, loli vamp has everything-philia. She would do it with anything really.
>>118679504
The Elevens need someone to relate with (self-inesrt into) with their stories. Anything too different or too far from their comfort levels don't do well over there.
>>118680091
>>118680184
Well, it's less that and more having all kinds of in-depth research just to make your main characters different than the norm seems silly just for a light novel.
