>Yuuna punches shit and sacrifices herself to the Shinju-sama
>The damage done to the world is reversed and the girls including Sonoko regain everything they've lost
>A fake grave is erected for Yuuna who officially died in an accident
>We see the remaining hero club and Sonoko standing at Yuuna's grave crying
>Tougou having regained her memories holding hands with Sonoko
>One year later
>The girls have been released from duty for good shortly after Yuuna's sacrifice, they still receive some benefits though
>Tougou wanted to become a Miko for the Shinju-sama because she believes she could get into contact with Yuuna like that but she was denied
>Fuu entered high school but still helps out the hero club that is now lead by Itsuki as much as she can
>Sonoko who is now in the same class as Tougou and clings to her as if she wants to make up for the lost two years joined the club too
>Over the last year five girls from all over the country went missing or were involved in weird accidents
>As things like these tend to happen noone really paid much attention to it
>When a close friend of a first year girl disappears she asks the hero club to help investigate
>Tune in for next season: Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru 2 - Rebellion

The main idea behind it:
When the Taisha saw the effect of Yuuna's sacrifice they concluded it would be better and safer for the world to scrap the hero system and go back to sacrificing girls to the Shinju-sama directly saving them the trouble of dealing with rebellious girls holding tremendous power. Apparently the higher the hero aptitude of a girl the more power she gives to the Shinju-sama and ever since no vertex was even able to damage the tree, the tree actually started to grow and gain more territory. The former heroes have been exempted from being sacrificed by direct request of the Shinju-sama.

Yuusha suffering makes me feel something akin to actual pain.

Not to mention that Tougou would be absolutely pissed and be more likely to rebel if Yuuna or any one of her friends did sacrifice themselves wholly to Shinju-sama.
>>
>>118599498

Gin is with Yuuna. I bet they get along fine.
>>
>>118599125

Nah, she did everything wrong, but it's ok. She's a mentally unstable, disabled teenage girl. She can be excused.

The Taisha can't be excused for mismanaging it's heroes. Sonoko might be excused depending on how things play out and whether she had a agenda beyond trying to give the heroes a choice.

Karin is a hero for trying to protect what is dear to her personally, no the Taisha as we expected. Yuuna is the same, but we'll have to see what her solution and price will be.
>>
>>118599531
>someone loses her memory

That would the cheapest and shittiest move of all. Chaika did that and it still pisses me off.
>>
>>118599560
They can fawn over Tougou together.
>>
>>118599244
Madoka has less tension and Yuyuyu has a more likable cast. When Mami got chomped, you just treat her death as a way for plot advancement. Same with Sayaka. Madoka is also very static since the end game is shown at the start of madoka dream so you know they are heading there.

YuYuYu is exciting and my expectations have been blown away for the past month. Most people here genuinely generally want to see want to see hero club at least get out of next week with their sensory sense still active.
No bias here I am huge homu fan
>>
>>118599244
There is no better, there is different. There was suffering in older shows, Madoka just made it cool again with the hidamari art, shaft, music, magical girl theme. Yuuna is just a decent show playing off of those themes and isn't terribly new but its charming.

Compare to something like Gen'ei which was spiritually closer to madoka in many ways. Madoka was clearly a better show overall, but I like Yuuna more now because of gen'ei and madoka and not in spite of them.
>>
>>118599344
>Suffering, Characterization and development
The suffering part is pretty subjective, but right now we haven't seen any type of growth from Yuna. This last episode was the first time she showed some real character, She's kinda been one dimensional the entire series

Urobuchi wasn't well know back then here or in japan, everyone shit their pants and its part of what set the show up. Looking back now it might be obvious, but it wasn't then.
>Madoka is also very static since the end game is shown at the start of madoka dream
No one ever talked about this in any thread I've seen when it was airing.
>Most people here genuinely generally want to see want to see hero club at least get out of next week with their sensory sense still active
You don't know that. Great asspull survey there guy. What everyone really wants is a satisfying ending, not a happy ending.
>>118599602
You kind of missed all the parts where she was talking about not being able to win the togo. Remember what karin said, you can't win friendships? Yuuna is all about being dutiful and servile. It might seem cliche, but its still a major part of the story.

>>
>>118599717
>What everyone really wants is a satisfying ending, not a happy ending.

But the most satisfying ending is a happy ending that is achieved without asspulls.
I don't know if that's possible in the current state of affairs.
>>
>>118599761
It's a show with magical girls, magical trees, magical loss of bodily functions, magical barriers and magical monsters. Pretty much everything can happen without it being an asspull.
>>
>>118599761
I don't understand your thinking there. The characters winning the bad situation doesn't make the suffering have any meaning to it. Its doesn't give the viewer a sense that something was won from all the difficulty. Do you want karin's pain to be for nothing? You sick bastard.
>>
>>118599803
This. I don't want a cheap ending.

The ending will decide whether this is AOTY or mediocre shit.
>>
>>118599793
You know what he's implying though, that whatever fantasy thing they pull that it won't seem too unreasonable. Because then that would just be too easy and destroy all the tension because Yuuna punched a vertex with courage so it got scared and fled.
>>
>>118599793
>pretty much anything can ahppen without it being an asspull
Lots of things can happen in a very asspull way. However they decide to end the show it has to be done right
>>
>>118599761
I like to think the monsters are only after the tree god thingy, all this time. Like, they dont give a fuck about people, the tree just used them as a barrier and is more of a meat shield for them. So kill that big thing, and everyone is restored and the tree gets BTFO, while the other gods scramble back to wherever they came.
>>
>>118599803

But it does. Without Karin defeating that group of vertex the final outcome, whatever it will be, couldn't have been achieved, same goes for Tougou's actions, for everyone. Of course this only goes if the final outcome isn't magical asspull that just disregards the actions of everyone, that would be shit.
However a good outcome that was achieved by everyone's actions and sacrifices can still be a positive and rewarding one giving them back everything they have lost.
>>
>>118599872
and the world they live in will be destroyed, killing everyone. This is what Togo wants
>>
>>118599827
I disagree with you there. AotY never made sense to me when theres so many shows doing so many different things at once and most of the enjoyment comes from liking the damn thing which is rather personal. That, and anime doesn't usually have satisfying or conclusive endings.
>>
>>118599827
you would really sentence a girl to be immobile and deaf and blind for the sake of a good story?
>>118599803
Karin wouldn't need to go through anymore pain if she were healed or even killed. leaving her as is is the cruelest outcome.
>>
>>118599531

That would be an awful ending, unless it's meant to be leading into a sequel. All of the "but none of that mattered, fuck it" of a reset end and none of the catharsis.
>>
>>118599908
Im saying the whole world thing being destroyed is propaganda by that tree god thingy and no one really gives fucks about the humans in reality.
>>
>>118599803
It does.

>>
>>118599886
That will not happen. The disabilities are staying, Yuuna has a pretty good chance of sacrificing herself to restore the barrier and Togo has a 100% chance of being a cunt.
If you want your cute anime girls healed thats fine, its just going to ruin the story thats all I'm saying. They must suffer.

>you would really sentence a girl to be immobile and deaf and blind for the sake of a good story?
Yes, that is the point. The disabilities are there for the sake of making the viewer feel for them. Its more effective than just killing them onscreen because then you don't see the part where they squirm and the knowledge of what their lives will be like after that.
>Karin wouldn't need to go through anymore pain if she were healed or even killed. leaving her as is is the cruelest outcome.
She knew what she was doing when she mankai'd. This is the price she chose to pay. She said nothing about ending her life when she thought Yuuna was there.
>>118599946
You're missing the point son. Karin tried really hard, didn't mean she didn't lose most of her body because of it.

Yeah, and that makes you feel the tension more because of the difference.
Yet Madoka started off grimdark with the very first scene. Even in the lighter moments if never actually achieved a light and positive mood like Yu³ had throughout most of its first half.

Why would you do that?
>>
>>118599638
In Madoka they can always fall back to her wish.
When I was watching it, you feel like there is always a way or chance for them to fix everything.
I mean even Homu can just timeloop over and over again to fix thing up.

There is pretty much no hope for them to fix vertex problem entirely by next week. I only expect them to somehow pull back Tougou to their side and try to cope among themselves with their new found inconveniences while awaiting future attacks.

Wouldn't even surprised me if they end the show with them doing the cultural festival and then having the forestive alarm with ED credits rolling.
>>
>>118600110
I can't think of many times I've felt the physical urge to start screaming at my screen to tell a character to stop doing what they're doing.
>>
>>118600033
I don't think it makes a story better either. However this show has made it clear that what Karin did was a heroic thing, i.e sacrifice, and its been a major part of the show. Making the characters suffering believable is just a part of making their efforts admirable to watch.
>>118600064
I loved that scene where she ran up to fuu and started talking, so completely forgetting that she didn't have a voice anymore.
>>
>>118600073
you're hopeless and it fucking pisses me off. I imagine you being this neck beard whale struggling to reach the keys, kissing your printed out waifu picture of karin, stroking her face as you whisper how her suffering makes her all the more beautiful, while you are caked in your own scent of smegma and failure. Promising yourself that all the suffering you "endure" has some beauty and meaning behind it, when in fact you are just a fat loser who want to see girls suffer just because.

A healing ending could be done and done well, and not take away anything from the story. Let me guess, you also hate Superman too. Yes i mad

>>118600097
I think the main difference is exactly that, Madoka was dark and gradually became darker, YuYuYu started well, then got a little dark, then gave us hope and finally crushed it all at once with the force of a thousand Mankais going off at once.

That said I like both Madoka and YuYuYu the same nad have them both mentally with the same score

The overall situation in Yu³ is certainly much more dire. Most of the world has been destroyed already and they're fighting a losing battle against cosmic extinction. And while Madoka gives them the wishes as you say which are basically a way to cheat the system itself as Madoka does, the whole hero system doesn't seem to have any such loopholes to fix everything with a single smart move.

>>
>>118600138
I love that feeling for some reason. I never feel more connected with a character then when I know that their doing something ridiculously stupid yet seem so content about it. No, you really don't need to go that far, I say, and yet its almost like they absolutely had to do it.
>>118600137

Wow, that first paragraph makes me sound pretty gross. No, if I knew karin I'd cry like a bitch. But I don't, I just like stories do fun things with the characters.
I do hate Superman but mostly because I find him incredibly boring. He just wins all the damn time and you're always waiting for the kryptonite to show up and make it about how the kryptonite gets dealt with this time. And yes I know about darkseid fighting him on even terms etc. I just didn't like it even then because he character never gets vulnerable, only his body does.

I like how you're still not smart enough to figure out how to use a puush link.

You understand the point of using puush is to give people a direct and easy link to use. When you have to type and fix the link it becomes pointless and counter productive, you might as well have just used imgur.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
