While YYY started with a number of cliches, it worked through them fast and subtly added its own take. It also rarely lead us to believe what did happen the next episode would happen. This has nothing to do with fatalism, it's the reality Togo faced - the mind (world) is dead, and they only keeping body alive waiting for time when there will be blackout. Their sacrifices has no meaning.

Yuuki Yuuna punches the shit out of tougou, she stops being crazy, sonoko comes back before her plan of tougou destroying the tree failed and becomes final boss, Tougou gets Wasshi~ memories back and she and YuYu fight sonoko since she wants to destroy the world Gin protected with her life, Wasshi~ takes sonoko with her.
the show ends with crippled Yuuki Yuuna being recruited to the Yuusha club, end.
