The problem is that none of the other web novels do anything decently. The writing of Re:Monster and MoM are particularly terrible. It doesn't take effort to foreshadow plot details and make a detailed word, but it feels as though everything is winged.

It'd be one thing if they were competent wish-fulfillment but they can't even do that right when they constantly contrive the world to inconvenience the MC or make him an unlikeable jackass.
