So what happened here? I thought Yuuna was the massage expert?
This picture was done by minatosoft, the same creators of that CG, you can't tell me after this picture that Yuuna isn't gay.
Eat well, exercise, and take lots of supplements!
Reposting Karin's background we got from LN screenshots:
>Karin has an older brother
>He works at Taisha
>He's a super achiever so he works at the "inside" of Taisha, or as Yuuna puts it, he's an elite
>Karin was jealous that her brother got all the praise from her parents
>To her, becoming a Hero was her chance to compensate
>Practicing for a play, Yuuna isn't really gay.
You say that, yet Yuuna decided she wanted to "practice" several more times.
and then there is this afterward on the other side of episode 5/6.
Which makes it totally inexplicable why Yuuna left Tougou alone enough for her to become suicidal. She brought her home crying from seeing Sonoko, why did she not just stay at her place for a while?
The more I think about it, the idea that Yuuna has fallen down the traditional husband path of "my family is in trouble! Must work even harder!" and thus she neglected Tougou when she should have been doing nothing but clinging to her.
The show in itself is okay/good for now, what makes it great however is its pacing/episode order, its by far the most daring and unique aspect of the work.
Usually a 12/24 episodes show which starts innocent but turns out to be dark uses dreams of doom/shocking deaths and other quick acting scenes to reveal its nature. YuYuYu don't. It has this soft eerie feeling that something will hit you, but you don't know what or when. And then it fucking hits you, multiple times.
It's a really neat direction which sadly is the reason why this show is going trough so many problems when it comes to sales, I mean, I'm fine with that, without it the show would not be as great, but what I fear is that this will just cause directors to use more standard choices instead of risking like YuYuYu
Though I'm optimistic about sales, the show has spent a lot of time on the top 10. I would be really overjoyed if this and Shirobako did well, the industry would receive a clear message.
Then watch the series again, because the only think you use to say she doesn't love her more than best friend is the play, ignoring completely the rest of the series.
It's clearly reciprocated, it exists more of the series than just that play, you know.
I ment to write, " The more I think about it, the idea that Yuuna has fallen down the traditional husbands path of, "Oh no! My family is in trouble! Must work even harder!", and thus neglecting Tougou when she should have been clinging even more to her, seems to be more and more likely.
>Tougou said it because she really does love Yuuna, but it's not reciprocated.
It seems I don't have that picture of Yuuna holding her hand up when talking about having someone she loves.
>It's a really neat direction which sadly is the reason why this show is going trough so many problems when it comes to sales
Except it's not, not anymore. It reached 9th place.
Karin will be fine because everyone else will Mankai to death to save the world while she stands around being a useless piece of shit like always. So if Karin is your everything, then yes, everything will be fine.
It's easier to explain when you post the non-edited version.
>It's easier to explain when you post the non-edited version.
Not that much easier actually.
but then Yuuna fails by leaving Tougou alone to wallow in despair and Sonoko's words.
That tilde in Sonoko's speech is starting to become one of the creepiest things I have heard in a while in a anime. That lazy speech pattern of hers has become so sinister now.
I'm sure Gin chewed through enough deathflags for two people. Karin will be fine. She's gonna be the survivor and be the one telling tales of the heroes who have come and gone and expired but never fallen.
Just you watch. She'll be narrating the epilogue, I promise.
Don't entertain anybody using yuri yuri goggles. It's a waste of your time, of their time and it only shits up the thread.
Let people see what they want to see. That's the point of the show, to entertain as many people as possible. This means that it does cater to yurifags and at the same time it can't go full yuri. It happens every show with cute girls nowadays, just learn your lesson already.
>Yuna's prince voice
Do your worst takahiro, I don't mind anything else at this point, my life is complete.
>All those "Wasshi"s and "Sonocchi"s in chapter 8
>Next time they meet they're basically strangers
Togo is smart enough to know how to avoid Yuna for few hours a day to try suicide.
Yuna isnt exactly the brightest. Even if they do know each other inside out, Yuna's not going to purposely bother Togo if the cripple clearly wants some alone time.
>[Take this then, Wasshi~]
>Sonoko undid her ribbon and gave it to Sumi.
>[Thank you. I'm feeling safer already]
>She grasped her friend's ribbon tightly.
>[You can put it on if you want~]
>[I'll do it when the fight's over. Praise it if it looks good on me, Sonocchi]
[It's called Halloween, not pumpkin festival~. ah, this top hat would look great on you. You should learn a
pigeon magic trick]
Just occurred to me that Tougou might believe the mastermind Yuuna theory too.
If I had $100 per 2 episodes to spare I'd be getting these. They seemed to put a lot of effort into making them very unique collectables. I don't think I'd even use them to watch the BDs.
This one goes out to all the Yuushas out there.
She knows, but maybe she thinks Yuuna became her friend specifically because she was ordered to. She doesn't trust her anymore which is why she's decided to do everything herself
I had been waiting for Tougou to tell her to just call her Mimori- with no suffex- for some time. We are running out of episodes and their relationship is on the rocks so I guess it wont happen now.
That sucks. So arms count as one and legs count as one. But eyes count for two.
2 for eyes
2 for ears
1 for smell
1 for taste
1 for touch??
1 for arms
1 for legs
1 for sexual feelings?
1 for memory
??? for internal organs
She's too dignified for Togo-chan, even though she's the princess Togo-sama is too embarrassing to use in public, Togo-san is just right.
It's a school, slice of life show.
Okay, so if this is Yuuna, why'd it use her mankai instead of tougou's? They were both there getting sonoko's explanation.
Cute girls doing Japanese nationalistic propaganda.
>1 for sexual feelings?
Not sure why you would think this is different than just normal touch or would ever be a thing.
Also worth pointing out that while Togo lost the ability to walk, she kept her legs, while the severely more crippled girl did not. You may lose them in stages.
She also possibly lost her sense of pain, in maybe more than just the physical sense. She seemed somewhat happy whenever she was on screen, and showed no sign of sadness that I can recall.
Who knows how many times you can lose your memory.
May even be able to lose something abstract, like Courage, Hope, or the ability to love.
Could probably become infertile but that doesn't really matter when you are a lesbian, and how the fuck would anyone know.
That is what would be the most terrifying I think. To go Mankai after realizing it has side effects, and then have nothing happen while everyone else suffers.
Did she lose her stomach or something?
Probably. Poor girl.
Being a burn victim is suffering. When it never grows back? So much more suffering. I wonder if Shinju-sama would accept it if she got donated skin grafts from other people.
True. Really the uterus doesn't do much of anything by itself its pretty much dependent on the function of the ovaries for everything. So sange would probably just affect the ovaries.
>Also worth pointing out that while Togo lost the ability to walk, she kept her legs, while the severely more crippled girl did not.
I think it was an animation error.
At least we still have 2 remaining episodes to jump between boats and row into different direction.
I just find all the "level" discussion amusing, "no it has to be at this level, not that one!".
Is this a rule that is actually stated somewhere? Because obviously we already have a very very physically damaged girl who went through the Sange.
I suppose she could have maybe lost limbs from combat or something but they seem to have some kind of magical barrier (from the faeries?) preventing most harm.
>She seemed somewhat happy whenever she was on screen, and showed no sign of sadness that I can recall.
So you forget how she cried and Toigou went wiping her tears the first time they met, huh?
Didn't she get a fire cat faery thing? And then use it?
Made me wonder if the faeries act kind of like the fucking whatevers in Persona, which could be interesting once the game comes out.
It's the cat one
That is frightening. I can see why Tougo want to end it all rather than live with that for all eternity, without the emotion of courage, hope, love, or to lose her legs again after losing their function.
I have not the strength to live on in that kind of situation.
Yes. The LN's clearly say that mankai takes away a bodily function. It's quite possible that Sonoko lost her limbs in the fight that made her mankai 20 times. The LN strongly suggest faeries are not perfect barriers.
That's what we have been told, but really Sonoko's loss of limbs and her face has not been fully explained. No one else has lost a body part, just the use of it. Did one of Sonoko's fairies fail and she get burned perhaps?
Even the Taisha's lies are not whole lies, there might not be anything physiologically wrong with any of the girls limbs or organs, this loss of function could happen entirely within the brain by killing just a few cubic millimeters of cells in the right locations. And that's the only thing that really explains how you lose memory. So the non-Taisha doctors see them and really cant explain what has happened. A good nurologist might but Taisha probably wont let them see one that isn't their own.
But then that leaves us back with explaining what happened to Sonoko.
What happens if the barrier fails and you lose your
Could she be "Shinju drone" instead? Her working for Taisha and not trying to make it best outcome for them with controlled amount of damage (sacrifices) doesn't really float at this point.
Even Karin does better job at former, trying to keep the group moving and not fall apart.
It was Sonoko that threw the wrench into the wheels by making Tougou do.
If it's "do what must be done" or just futile attempt at liberation, remains to be seen.
OMG! I just noticed that? So episode 8 was an inbetweeners failure?
Although I did notice that even within that one episode that Sonoko SOMETIMES had bandages across her chest showing through her yukata at the neck and SOMETIMES did not.
We will find out in a couple days if they fix this in the BD.
>Even Karin does better job at former
Only because of the complete absence of a better alternative. Who are you going to rely on - the broken ex-leader, the mute meek girl, the girl who can't string a thought together past HEROISM, or the traitor? A literal giant among dwarfs.
Here's my question: if they are losing pieces of themselves after each mankai DURING the fights, wouldn't that greatly inhibit their ability to fight?
She only had 1 faeries in the bridge battle, and unlike Sumi who used gun, she would be stuck in defense until her Mankai gauge is full once she lost her legs, she might have lost her limbs because of that.
>The Yuushas are vertexes
I think we're over that idea.
Each mankai gives them a new faery and a weapon upgrade to compensate. If Sonoko's words are to be taken seriously, they might actually get even stronger as they become closer to a vegetable.
Mankai seems to be bring out a function "resembled" by fairies (aka sacrifices) back for Mankai form, like Tougou's whatever mirror fairy thing representing a pedestal and how she can still fight.
Sure she doesn't walk but she gets around as compensation and can fight.
She seems to have given conflicting statements on this
>my goal is to stop out of control heroes
>i'll support whatever you do
It makes more sense that she has a hidden agenda where doing both those things makes sense
they grow closer to shinju-sama thus they get stronger, the power they get make up for disabilities but only when they transform, it would explain tougou's tentacles and battleship
Puking tree sap because being a Yuusha slowly turns you into a half-tree.
We don't know. Her discussions with Tougou seem to make it like she wants to die even more than Tougou. And the only way to do that is to destroy Shinjuu and therefore the world. And the only way to do that is to get the Taisha desperate enough to give her back her phone.
Mankai doesn't cure their body deficiencies. Tougou used Mankai and was still a cripple for example. They can work their way around them though. Again, Tougou can fly in mankai form.
>my goal is to stop out of control heroes
This is a translation error, the word she used here should be translated as "role". It was the role that Taisha gave her, and not her personal goal.
Not after you have become one.
Also, Shinjuu doesn't seem to think that lesbianism is impure.
But now the faries would block anything that would make them impure just as well as attempts to kill them. A penis would get the same block as a knife blade. A finger might too, but considering what Shinjuu was willing accept at the start perhaps not.
She literally is not in any physical pain or hungry or thirsty.
But her day to day existence is suffering since she cannot do anything she used to but is constantly reminded of it.
This is a big management problem for the Taisha. Sonoko should have been a very early job for the "Hero Club" even before they became Heros themselves she should have been a client and coming to play with the "accident victim" should have been part of their routine.
She said it when Tougou held her hand. Sub says
>These days, for some reason, I'm not suffering
However, what she said is actually
>Right now, for some reason, I'm not suffering.
If they tell them about it to begin with, I can see some people accept doing their part for the world then be surrounded by young grandchildren like heroes for the rest of eternity.
Yeah but I think the first part is what was intended. She cant say she is suffering because she physically cannot feel anything at all.
Its all pure psychological and emotional anguish.
A comprehensive list why Karin is best girl
Best for what, satisfying Taisha members?
Nice, now I know what I'm buying for the next year.
Hiding it from sight is more effortless, replying might not even have effect.
Hiding post and every reply of it is even more final solution.
(Reporting does nothing as always but reporting people on the basis of how they type is petty in the end either way.)
It was obvious because it holds a disk but I didn't realize it was this big
Can they really not die of old age? I thought the fairies just made it so that they can't kill themselves and that it would be exceptionally difficult for an outside force (i.e. Vertexes) to kill them. Fairies ain't gonna do shit against natural aging.
I doubt becoming a Hero will affect your "natural" things like aging or metabolism, cell/brain/mental or otherwise.
"Can't die" just meant they can't kill themselves nor can they truly die from Mankai, most likely.
They obviously weren't training her to fight, so she must have gotten a different kind of training.
She was trained to be the cutest.
It was a success
But he's right, Karin is the cutest.
You know, I think Shinjuu would allow that. He is Japanese so there would be no connection between masturbation and sin.
But I don't think she can feel enough to use such toys. And depression reduces libido anyways.
She is a hot teacher that get sexually harass by her student.
You will never bury your face in Togo's megalopolis
When did you realize you were a lesbian and attracted to girls, /a/?
The nips were merely cheering for YuYuYu to outsell PP2. This don't mean that people are buying YuYuYu just for the sake of outselling PP2, specially now that its already out.
Itsuki not moving with her mouth hanging open like that makes her look like she's paralyzed or otherwise seriously disabled.
>Don't tell me their parents were the ones who died after the big bridge battle.
What's it hurt? It won't be long before they're fully wards of the state anyway, right? Let them enjoy their time together while they can.
There we go.
Nice invisible wheelchair, by the way.
Ops, should have rechecked.
Didn't mean to quote the second anon.
I wonder if she's ever been angry about it. Surely, right? It's hard to imagine though, her crying and screaming at the people who stole her future and her friends away.
What if she lost the ability to be angry?
She lost 20 things right? And if it is true that you can lose limbs and become scarred in combat she might not have even lost those to Mankai.
But it is more that the Taisha would not let the common social services have them, since their parents were Taisha.
Its also partly how they confirmed that these girls were hero material, because they were mature enough at ages 12 and 10 to survive and not have to be scooped up and adopted off to another Taisha family.
So when did Sonoko learn about the true nature of the world? Could you imagine being 21 Mankais in when you're standing on the edge of the world? You look out and find out that THAT was the world you had been fighting for and the hell that awaits all heroes.
Why don't they just get her a voice-controlled TV?
I just marathoned yuki yuna. And I need some clarifying help.
So basically gods sent vertexes to destroy the world and all thats left is basically japan being protected by shinju-sama.
Is taisha a person?
No, Taisha is the organization of people who supposedly do Shinjuu-sama's bidding as Shinjuu-sama has become a tree and cannot move anymore. Originally though Shinjuu was formed by the gods and goddesses of the Shinto pantheon merging together into one unit to save this one corner of humanity, having done that though they lost their mobility and the Taisha have to do their footwork for them.
Not even the whole Japan, Shikoku is the only place left. Now, read the LN.
She had that, it was her Shinju model smartphone.
They took it away when she fell asleep because they were afraid she would use it to kill Shinjuu so she could kill herself and would take all of them with her.
Just hit top 3 on japanese amazon for best selling anime, beating Mobile Suit Gudam The Origin. Still behind Frozen and the new Urobutcher movie.
Currently 7th best selling dvd.
The Urobutcher movie (1st) seems to currently be rising still somehow, with Frozen (3rd) and some concert thing (4th) dropping. Transformers movie (6th) does not have an up or down symbol. YuYuYu is rising.
Well the outside world did.
All Tougou and the rest of us saw was a sea of hellfire and billions of those larvae things making new vertexes.
What, if anything, sentient is directing that we don't know yet.
>Still behind Frozen
I liked it and all, but why is this still at the top?
