13, the other little girls will think you're silly if you don't.

I'd say 24 at maximum. You still see neckbeard wizards doing this shit at 40 though
>>
>>118359765
Whenever you want, you idiot. Nobody's forcing you, especially Japan.
>>
>>118359977
Well shit, I've got about four months left. Hope I can watch the rest of anime in that time.

When you get tired of it, I give you permission to stop.

Good taste. I like dicks too.

How does Jeanne's headpiece even stay on?
It seems way too heavy to just clip into her hair.

Stop watching and reading them when you stop enjoying them, faggot. Hulk Hogan. Don't be afraid of your hobbies. Badass action star Vin Diesel, for example, is an avid Dungeons and Dragons fan. The problem is that in large parts of the West, there is some sort of "age ghetto" associated with animations. Except South Park and the Simpsons, they're basically all for kids. In Japan (and France to a lesser extent) it's different and animation is just yet another medium that can be aimed at all kinds of different demographics.

It only becomes a problem when it rules your life. A 40 year old man who watches anime should be perfectly fine. He works hard and sometimes he wants to watch cute girls doing cute things to unwind. A 40 year old man who buys a shitload of anime merchandise is getting kind of weird, but as long as he's happy doing it, spends money that he earned through honest means and doesn't break the law, it's fine. Now if it's a 40 year old dork who wears naruto headbands in public and interjects random Japanese words into everyday conversation, then we have a problem.

In conclusion: fuck the police, don't let others tell you what you are and aren't allowed to enjoy in your own free time. C.S. Lewis once said that the most childish thing imaginable is the desire to appear grown up in the eyes of others.

Why should anyone ever stop liking something?

When you have 3 hours of free time a day and you'd rather spend it on another hobby.

26 and counting.

If you think it's a matter of age then just stop now because you've already lost interest.

The guy knows what's up.
Also, I know one of those 40 year old Naruto headband wearing weirdos he comes to the comic book store I frequent and tries and hits on 15 year old girls. Such a dumbass.

The obvious answer is when full dive VR becomes reality and you no longer have to indulge in the fantasy of animation and fiction to live out your fantasies and fictional dreams.

I've wondering about this for awhile. I have no problem at the thought of watching anime forever, but at some point I wonder if I will still be able to relate. I am well removed from my high school years, which is the age group most anime are in. Is there anyone on here past 30, and if can you still watch stuff like DxD, Nisekoi, etc.? Is the subject matter even still relatable? I'm rather curious on the opinions of any /a/nons who have insight on this.
>>
>>118360636
We're close. We might just get it in our lifetime.

It becomes even better with age.

>C.S. Lewis once said that the most childish thing imaginable is the desire to appear grown up in the eyes of others.
It's also the best way to stop being a NEET. Throw on an ironed button-down shirt, chinos, and a nice pair of dress shoes. Now you look like a middle-aged man and will be more easily respected in the workplace.
>>
>>118360691
I'm 24 and I've noticed that I've stopped watching shows that take place in a school setting. That's probably because most of them don't bother to delve further than "Maybe today I can get senpai to notice me!" though.
>>
>>118360961
This is what plebs believe. Dressing just to fit in doesn't change the fact that it's childish.
>>
>>118361182
It's a necessary evil. I dress well so I can stand before a board of directors and give professional development seminars, in order to make a bunch of money and fuel my hobbies. People in middle and upper management are shallow as hell and really do care what you're wearing.
>>
>>118361316
I don't think it's about shallowness as much as it is about professionalism. You dress professionally in a professional environment.

I'm not sure how much of a problem this is if you plan on becoming a grasseater: an aspiring wizard that disregards women and only works just enough to sustain himself while spending the rest of his time on hobbies and things he enjoys.

>Start "seriously" watching anime in 2011
>Every show feels special and different
>Sometimes even finish two cour shows in a single week because I enjoy them so much
>Start a list to keep track of my shit
>Finish 200 different titles in less than a year
>It eventually becomes routine
>Try to finish as many shows as possible because I feel that it's something I must do
>Every show feels like it's the same shit
>Start dropping too many shows and force myself to finish many more
>A 12 episode anime takes me months to finish
>It feels like a chore
>Drop everything I was watching

Now I only read manga.
Is the magic gone forever?
>>
>>118359765
I got back into watching anime like a year ago, and since then, I've got my life in order. Lost weight, became more social, started to law school. Honestly, I think anime is such a goofy, almost sad, hobby, that it inspires me to be better in real life, and I still enjoy every second of it. Its fucking stupid but true. So forever I guess, OP?
>>
>>118361440
You overloaded and lost sight of just watching for the fun of it. Making a list was one of the worst things I did when it came to my enjoyment of anime. It's almost like achievements in games. You begin to watch show just for the list and not to watch them. In a way you made watching anime a tedious boring jobs instead of a hobby.

Guy in pic sent a probe on a comet.

If you know what you're talking about enough your audience won't give a fuck what you're wearing unless it was a full S&M outfit.
>>
>>118361440
I started "seriously" watching anime (seasonally as such, while playing catchup) in 2003/2004 I believe, sounds about right.

It took me about 5 years of constant NEET watching and shit to get to a point where I wasn't really enjoying it anymore.
After a few years of getting back into the real world, working full time, training for the army (Aussie) and otherwise, I got back into it a fair bit, though a show really has to tickle my fancy to watch it weekly or marathon it through. Most anime if far too sparse of... well pretty much anything. Anime I like I could generally pull out an A4 sheet of paper and write 10 pages of bullet points about characters, the world the story is in, story events, relations between different characters, and etc.. in the first 10 eps.

However, most anime, 90%+, I can barely write a sheet or 2.

>Guy in pic sent a probe on a comet.
And the irony is that feminists judged him based on what he was wearing, while arguing that women should not be judged based on what they choose to wear.

Women amirite?

It's likely never gonna happened tough, but if I ever get married and started having a family, maybe it's the time for me to let go this childish hobby and towards become a responsible adult for my children.
>>
I'm 30 and still watching anime and reading manga, so I couldn't tell you.

27 yo here. I'm still watching 10+ shows each season, I still like PLOT and pantsu and so on and for.

I guess I'll just be a permavirgin ;_;

This guy knows what's up. Couldn't have said it any better myself. I like anime, but it's just one part of what makes me me.
>>
Basically, i'll only ever marry a likeminded person. I'm happy to die alone rather than spend my life pretending i'm happy with someone who hates who I truly am or where I hate myself for faking who I am.
