Got my box of gifts. From fucking BlondeDude.

I read the card, a store bought one having nothing to do with anime, and deciphered (with no clues from said card,) which packages contained baked goods and opened those.

Presents will wait until actual Christmas. My hopes for them having anything to do with my wishlist are kind of low though.

At least the oatmeal raisin cookies were really good. BlondeDude your creepy gingerbread schoolgirl was kind of stale and gross. I got a good laugh out of it though.

So how's USPS gonna solve this?

It's almost 9 in Texas now, and apparently it hasn't been delivered yet.
>>
>>118311875
i think they just going to keep it at their facility. In new york USPS never delivers to your door.
>>
>>118311875
or it could be that it got deliver and never updated the status.
>>
>>118311875
Uh, have you never shipped packages before? This is completely normal. It'll probably be delivered on Monday. I can write it out fully for you.

>Expected Delivery Date
This is automated. When your package is picked up and scanned for the first time, USPS will try to give an average estimate for how long it'll take to deliver. Sometimes they'll be early, sometimes they'll be a little late. Note how this is the holiday season now, so it's not uncommon for packages to take longer.

>Arrived at Post Office
Means exactly what it means. It's at that post office and it has NOT left the office (received an outward bound scan) yet. Until you see the tracking update to show "Out for Delivery", you can be assured that the package has not been loaded onto a cutesy USPS truck. Yet.
>>
>>118311875
It's more about the weekend.
Shipping doesn't move much after midday Saturday.
The tracking might move up again on Monday midday or so.

Come on post this shit

Remember that if you know your gift will be delayed, please notify your recipient and/or the Secret S/a/nta organizers so that you don't get blacklisted.

>Domestic
Please give your packages at least one week to reach your recipient since the post system will be swamped horribly the closer to Christmas it gets. Monday, December 15, is likely to be the busiest shipping day of the year in the US. Try to ship on or before December 17 if possible. It may seem painfully obvious, but there is no mail delivery on Christmas Day. Receiving the gift post-Christmas takes a lot of the spirit out of the occasion.

>International
If you haven't mailed it out yet, do it NOW. Good luck, buddy.

>For the mailing-savvy
Print your own labels at home and save yourself from standing in the infinite line at the post office, or use your workplace's mailing services if it's offered. The holiday crunch is already on and I've witnessed some lengthy waits at the post office.
First-Class will be good enough. The USPS cut-off dates for latest day to ship by to have a chance of Christmas delivery are:

>Standard Post, Media Mail, das slowest mails
Dec. 15
>First-Class
Dec. 20
>Priority
Dec. 20 as well
>Priority Express (AKA Express, overnight. etc).
Dec. 23
>>

International mail

>First-Class
Dec. 2
>Priority
Dec. 2
>Priority Express (AKA Express)
Dec. 10
>Global Express Guaranteed
Dec. 17 and prepared to be raped by the cost

In short, if your recipient is not in same country as you, MAIL NOW if you haven't done so.

Well then, use the edited version at least in the future.

Remember that if you know your gift will be delayed, please notify your recipient and/or the Secret S/a/nta organizers so that you don't get blacklisted.

For packages:

It's likely going to be late anyways by this point, unless you shell out for the most expensive shipping option.

>For the mailing-savvy
Print your own labels at home and save yourself from standing in the infinite line at the post office, or use your workplace's mailing services if it's offered. The holiday rush on and there may be lengthy waits at the post office.

For those in the US, the USPS cut-off dates for latest day to ship by to have a chance of Christmas delivery are:

>Standard Post, Media Mail, Parcel Select
Dec. 15
>First-Class
Dec. 20
>Priority
Dec. 20 as well
>Priority Express (AKA Express, overnight. etc).
Dec. 23

and International mail:

>First-Class
Dec. 2
>Priority
Dec. 2
>Priority Express (AKA Express, EMS)
Dec. 10
>Global Express Guaranteed
Dec. 17 and prepare to be raped by the cost

Letters take less time than packages to travel, but it is likely already too late for letters/cards sent overseas to make it in time.

DK from OH, I was regretably not able to mail your gift this weekend. Tried to earlier today, but I got my hair cut right beforehand and it took me a good 15 for them to get to me even though I had an appointment. That 15 minutes could've been spent mailing your stuff because I got to the Hallmark with the post office in the back just too late. That being said everything is wrapped up, your card is done, I just need to find a box or find time to go and get a priority box and get it mailed.
I know I already told you it might be a bit close, but it's for this reason now; that being said I still have faith that the USPS will get it to you on time! (I'll try to Monday or Tuesday, I don't think I need to notify the organizers in this case so don't blacklist me!)

Also, Anon from GA , I didn't know you were my gifted since I thought you'd package the card with the gift, but the priority mail envelope came Friday! Did you want me to open the card early then? I'm going to wait until Christmas though probably unless you really want me to. Don't tell me, but I think I might be able to tell what it is considering it was sent in the big envelope. I'm so excited, but like any respectable person I'll wait.

air guns past a certain point are qualified as real guns, and people often order them without knowing this, then they get a long package labelled as scrapbooking supplies and get charged 40 dollars from border fees for the weight as the person at the counter stares at you in disbelief that you'd pay over 40 dollars for a bunch of dollar store quality books
