Tougou did nothing wrong. Shinju-sama's system is unsustainable anyway, the Vertex are infinite and the heroes can only keep up fighting for so long before they become crippled. Funny because that's close to what appears in Madoka, and central focus of most of Urobuchi's works, the idea that people are always trying to fight utilitarianism, always searching for a better way when the current one should be the best one. You shouldn't fight against it, you should embrace it and maybe things will actually get better but you can't help look for a better way, which only brings about your doom.
