Oscar will go to any movie that was the big animated blockbuster that year.

Oscar voters don't even watch the animated films, they admit this themselves.

This is how shit like Frozen beat The Wind Rises and even more importantly, Ernest and Celestine.

This year is tough competition as The Lego Movie was actually good and you have Song Of The Sea which was fantastic as well.

Tale of the Princess Kaguya easily eclipses both and is the best film of the year IMO, but it won't get any recognition at the Oscars which will be Big Hero 6 vs Lego.
