Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block announced Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri (Knocking on the Walls of the Armored Fortress), a new anime that will premiere next year. The project reunites director Tetsuro Araki and Wit Studio, the team responsible for Attack on Titan. Code Geass creator Ichiro Okouchi is writing the scripts.

I just can't call him a bad director after Seto no Hanayome and Sunred and a couple of other shows. The success of his shows mostly depends on the quality of source material: if it's good, he has the skills to make it even better and adapt it to a different media format, but if it's shit or he doesn't have enough freedom, then guess what, it's going to be shit even if he does his damn best to make it good with all the subtle references and throwbacks. It's not his fault Dangan Ronpa and Devil Summoner only got a single cour even though they wanted more, and it certainly wasn't his fault that Persona 4 was a budget disaster.
