Why do you think people in the future will bother watching it? As comparison and contrast, Eva continues to invoke those threads because the movies are still being released, which draws attention back to the original series and EOE. Furthermore, Eva has dialogue, and an entire series, so it's much easier to make definite claims about its meaning (and also much easier to imagine that definite claims can reasonably be made).
This music video has lyrics but I doubt they'll give much context for the story (if one can call it that). There's just not enough to go off of to create actual meaning.
