>start up space brothers
> "yah this is pretty ok"
> 95/99 episodes in
> fucking dropped
anyone else ever drop a series after watching a majority of the episodes?
Dropped Cowboop Beeboop at the last two episodes. Don't think I'll never finish it. Not because I hated it, I just don't want to see it end.
I've rewatched the rest of the episodes several times, and I am a little girls kinda guy. That's how much I loved Cowboop.
Dropped Akame ga Kill as soon as they started bullying the new recruits, which I think was just over halfway in.
Honestly, it was so goddamn cringy to watch even before then, I have no idea how I stuck it through. Should've dropped when purple died.
Air gear was interesting in the manga but yeah the only thing that kept me reading was the plot, and when that one guy came up with the mind control chair shit i lost hope. Like this is not your domain air gear pls stop.
yeah, not sure if you got to the ending of the arc where they go into the computer to train against the old sleeping forest but if you did that was a good place to drop. It just became a clusterfuck
>decide to finally watch Milky Holmes
>blow through the first two seasons because they're so much fun
>third season decides to throw all of that out the window and become a regular saturday morning mahou shoujo
It's the hardest I've ever dropped a series.
3/4 the way through Bokurano
2/3 the way through Madoka
I followed Madoka until the earthquake. I still have not watched the final 2 episodes. Not because of boredom or because I think it's bad, I just never got around to it even though it's been 3 years. I'll probably never finish it
I dropped Orguss with only like 3-5 episodes left. There's a part where a character wants to kill them self by holding off the enemy while the others escape. The cast then spends enough time arguing about this plan that if they had just run from the beginning they would've made it. Then said character goes off and dies holding the enemy off, and everyone cries and shit. Then in a few episodes its revealed he lived and he comes back... and then dies again in the same episode. I think I watched more after that, but I was done. The whole show was shit, but that was the final nail in the coffin.
I only got that far because Orguss 2 is so fucking awesome. That opening though.
Dropped Eva about 18 episodes in. Stopped giving a fuck.
Read 8 volumes of AoT and dropped it when I realized that I didn't give a fuck who lived or died, and that it was not going to end any time soon.
Gantz is a manga I wish I had dropped, so I could still have fond memories.
I've had volume 10 of yotsubato on my shelves for months. I don't really care about what wacky things 404 girl is doing.
>dropping Nozaki-kun on the final episode.
So I can understand that to a degree because it's an ongoing manga, there's no way it's going to wrap up nicely, but really, it's another 10 minutes anon.
The lolibot wins.
02 would have been even better without the Orguss shit crammed in. It did both series a disfavor.
Hokuto No Ken. I finished the first part, the conflict with Raoh concluded, and there's a big chunk left after that. The ending to part 1 just felt right, I didn't want to risk going on and being disappointed.
No. Even though the last 20 or so episodes of space brothers started to slow down a bit I was too invested at that point to really care. Just finish the fucking episodes. The last few were really good.
Please tell me you're talking about you getting to the end of HnK with HnK 2 ahead of you.
Because HnK 2 is anime-original shit that gets pretty ridiculous (but not terrible overall)
I haven't intentionally dropped a show after almost finishing it but there are a heap of shows where, for some reason, I haven't got around to watching the last few episodes. They're on my hard drive as I am typing this but I'm still not gonna watch them.
I dropped SAO when the elf guy was raping Asuna, because I knew it could never possibly be any better than that moment.
Also, just finish it you fucking faggot.
And I still insist.
Finish it faggot.
Chuunibyou Second Season, too much Rika being autistic with no real character development or overall relevant interaction between characters
The D.Gray-Man manga after they hiatus (I think it was just after the first lvl 4 akuma fight) around the time the manga's plot and art style went to shit
Galilei Donna (got tired of everyone but the genius loli being useless, such a pity because that show had great character designs and a catchy OP song)
GOSICK: the mysteryes went full retard, dropped when it was revealed Victorica's mom was a 30 years old loli
Other than that I really only drop shows if they fail the 3 ep rule, if they pass I stick with them until the bitter end (I wish I dropped shows more often, Glasslip was there to remind me of this last season)
>The last few were really good.
Honestly from around where he stopped it's best to pick up the manga anyway since near the end they started skipping shit to hit a reasonably satisfying end point in the story on time.
It stopped being about murdering all of the mars niggers and instead introduces a new character, spends two eps describing her back story, then is immediately killed. It also is hinting at best character doing a 180.
What the fuck is this even about? it is worth to through 99 episode of this anime?
nope, 95 is my number.
i stopped on glasslip around ep 10 though. then again, the amount of effort it took to get to that point is considerably less.
then again, 10 episodes of glassslip equated the fucking boredom i had after 95 spessuh bruhs
Holy shit, are you me? I stopped at the same place as you for nearly the same reasons.
The manga's much more enjoyable in my experience, even though it's also pretty slow paced. Just listen to FEELS SO MOON while reading it and you'll have everything the anime does and more.
It's the most realistic story about modern space exploration and a man fulfilling his dreams. It's slow as fuck but easily AOTY material.
2 brothers made a "post alien encounter" childhood pinky promise bullshit thing to go to space. younger blond pointy haired brother got to space, told bigger jewfro brother to get his ass into space, jewfro brother tries to get ass in space. cue 99 episodes.
its like kimi ni Todoke, but instead of being a frustrating shouju about 2 desperately awkward people trying to form a relationship, its a show about 1 awkward guy trying to go to the moon. also, its absolutely nothing like Kimi Ni Todoke.
But if you don't finish it you won't watch the movie!
i mean, i guess it was good, but i just lost steam around the 90 range.
Hajime no Ippo, though.
man that shits got me hooked like damn
Ya got way further in fairy tale then I did. Good on you.
If there was ever a reason to execute someone over not finishing a show, this would be cause for it.
>there will never be a new Ippo season made by the S1 staff
From what I've heard its funded by NASA. So yeah if you can make your anime be a giant advertisement for the space program or some other government funded project knock yourself out.
I dropped Attack on Titans at 13 because it was taking way too long to move a fucking rock.
I dropped it as soon as they killed Electro. I want to know, but damn, for something that's paced so quickly, that show's hot garbage when it comes to being interesting. Also the mouths made me feel like I was watching Family Guy because of the weird outline on the bottom lip. >>117138104
I fucking finished it. Not worth. I repeat, not worth.
I have a really bad habit of dropping series that I enjoy a few episodes before it ends. Just seeing such a good series end is too much for me.
Not so far. After training to be a jet pilot at NASA he tries to woo her by drawing a heart in the sky for her, but she sees it from the side and thinks it's an alien. His old man boss sees it from the front and is really awkward around Mutta for awhile because he thinks Mutta has a gay crush on him.
Dropped ImoCho after the penultimate episode. I haven't really been enjoying it, but that episode was so shitty in characterisation that it actually offended me on the level the overall depravity of the series didn't.
>Chuunibyou Second Season, too much Rika being autistic with no real character development or overall relevant interaction between characters
except for Kumin that series is a piece of shit.
I dropped Happiness Charge Precure at episode 35. I forced myself to watch it because there were good characters like Oresky, Yuuko and Ionia, but I couldn't dealo with Megumi being boring and Hime being a cunt with an ear-raping voice (such a shame when you know who her mother is).
I basically forced myself before to finish HeartCatch before that, having the same problem but with Tsubomi being boring and Erika being a lolsorandumbXD walking reacton face with an awful voice. So i couldn't bear with a 2.0 version.
Definitely the two Precure series I had the least fun watching.
orgus ending is worth watching
it's a slice of life title about the journey into space and pretty damn good, but the last 20 episodes of anime are really padded out. mc is a pessimistic realist, while his little brother is gary stu.
HxH you piece of shit, should have dropped you much earlier.
Code Geass R2.
I said to myself "They just killed off a blind cripple princess with a nuke."
That's when I realized the entire show had gotten way too ridiculous for me to enjoy any more.
