VC2 isn't really that great. The military training/highschool/dating sim thing is bland fuck. Lots of shitty, overwrought dialogue and melodrama. WAY more than VC1. The missions are passable but not good which sucks because most of them are just filler. They recycle maps a lot too. The tank customization was cool, but all the other stuff was really cheesy and lame.

And the setting is a military academy but the first half is very sol and lighthearted so everyone forgets things do get darker later. As for the dating part it's more like Avan goes around slinking people and solving their problems.
