Also, i did felt bad about Pitou, she could have easily finished Gon off when Pouf told her Komugi was safe, but chose to see Kite anyway. He killed that guy during the exam. He's bad!

I liked Killua quite a bit at the beginning, but during CA he got old, fast. Gon was at fault too, obviously, but I empathized more with his "let's get down to business" attitude even though it went too far. He depended on Killua to check him (fairly or not), and Killua failed to do that. Gon also straight-up asked him a few times if something was wrong, and he lied each time.

It's not that it's his fault (Gon needs to grow some empathy, like, yesterday), but I can't blame him for not noticing since was used to Killua telling him when something was wrong, like he'd been doing for the rest of the series. Killua is still in my top 4 though, hanging out with Gon, Hisoka, and Palm.

Honestly, Gon is everything but a generic shounen hero. He is selfish and some times only thinks for whats best for him, not the other characters. I think a lot of HxH characters are like this and its not typical either. It shows a real world representation of how people think.

Now your typical shounen hero would always fight for his friends, do what's right all the time, and sacrifice himself rather than put his friends in danger. Also a typical shounen character rarely loses a fight. Gon has lost many, but learned from them all.
