Who will win the Amira?
Amira a kawaii
>implying he's not the second child
So Amira is the holy knight?
Is it really possible for a demon to be a holy knight?
Or is it just that her angel side cancels out the demon side?
Is that even open to discussion?
Kaisar will. And their child will have beautiful red afro hair just like her mother.
Best angel. Does anyone know if theres a card version of her or is she just anime only?
Will the abuse ever end for Amira?
I wonder if they'll do anything special for the recap, it's not going to be on the BD so I doubt there will be much new content. Whta I'm hoping for is Favaro and Kaiser narrating the events similar to the episode previews.
They aren't dead in the show either, they're just "sleeping" as Cerberus put it.
That said, I wish the show didn't have to act as a prequel (and hopefully it doesn't really since it clearly doesn't stick to the power levels at least). Sticking to the card game's lore would be incredibly limiting.
of course its Kaisar. He's going to ill Bahamut, show Jeanne his Holy Spear, and keep Favaro as his mistress and Rita as his adopted daughter. Medieval Dandy will win in the end.
There's like at least 6 to 8 different official artists for RoB. And you can usually tell with their styles being so distinctive.
That's also wrong. There's also like five different versions of Jeanne in the game.
>5th evolution Jeanne of above mentioned one
>Jeanne of Orleans
So much JEANNE
I want them all
Here's what I think might be going on:
Lavalley is behind everything, he is a demon and also Amira's father. The reason he wants to release the bahamut is not to end the world, but to make Amira the ruler/savior/legendary knight. It may have to do with bringing peace between demons and angels, perhaps since she's a half breed and his lover would have been an angel, so. I also think Martinet rigged the gate portal so Azazel wouldn't be able to exchange info with Lucifer. He might have expected it would result in Azazel storming the caste and making enough ruckus in which Amira would be easier to kidnap and taken to Helheim.
They are doing a good job simplifying their designs and making the characters look more mature. The game art is so tacky.
I like Beelzebub's design, though. More demons should look like that and not like generic anime characters.
>game aren't was used
>because the show is mature and dark
>mature and dark
Is this bait?
If your talking about the very start of the first episode in the anime, we only saw Satan not Lucifer.
At least anime Jeanne and Amira have different hairstyles. When you put card Lucifer next to anime Azazel they look like twins. Less so in the game but the point stands, Lucifer needs redesign to be distinguishable from Azazel.
>Lucifer has no horns
>cherrypicking one scene in the anime and comparing it with a static image in the game
Wait and see.
Also still not seeing the sameface there even accounting for it being two different visual mediums.
Those are two completely different characters, both in the game and anime as well as actual Judo-Christian mythology.
Satan is the Angel of punishment given that role by YHVH specifically, Lucifer is the leader of the rebellion that took 1/3rd of the Heavenly Host with him that included Azazel.
While Lucifer and Satan are both demon realm in the game demon realm represents "fallen" beings; angels, gods, demons, humans, and monsters. Lucifer, Azazel, Satan, Loki, Fenir, Belial, etc...
Yeah, and you know who fucked up the lore, the Christians. Its clearly clarified in the Old Testament that Satan and Lucifer are two COMPLETELY different entities serving completely different roles.
Its called JUDO-CHRISTIAN beliefs for a reason.
Lucifer was cast out of heaven after the rebellion, Satan was always called the devil prior to that. The translation issues taking the New Testament from Greek, Hebrew, and Aramic into Latin with Lux representing "light" and Lucifer's role as the torchbearer gave rise to confusion and why modern Christianity has the basis of identifying Lucifer as Satan.
Old Testament always identified them as separate but I'm not a Jew or expert on this.
There's a shot when he did give the Demon Stone a suspicious look when they were exposing it to Amira.
There is nothing about this in the Old Testament. All of this shit came from Jewish myths.
>In this passage Isaiah applies to a king of Babylon the image of the morning star fallen from the sky, an image he is generally believed to have borrowed from a legend in Canaanite mythology.
Satan stems from "adversary" in Hebrew, which would put him in conflict with Lucifer in terms of etmyological origins. So no, they are not, and it is mentioned in Issiah several times.
There is only one time Lucifer is referred to as "the enemy" (ha-satan) but never as "The Adversary" in the Old Testament. They are not the same, never were.
Satan is described as being an opposing force to YHVH from the start of time, Lucifer was made from God. How can they be the same?
Also Satan was never described as angel or creature of God, so again how are they same, you silly Christian?
I think you're conflating Christian ideology with other religions. In the Christian ideology God is regarded as the supreme force.
In other religions "God" is not nearly as powerful, hence you have "god-slayers" and all that. Recall that this anime is made by Japanese people, who come from a religion with a shitload of "gods" who range from laughable to powerful. That can lead to some blurred lines.
That has nothing to do with their argument, it was the identities of Satan vs Lucifer between Old Testament vs New Testament canons.
And "omnipotent" force has nothing to do with that as well for God, Satan predates Lucifer.
Yeah, and they're saying that Satan was always there like some great yin-yang idea. I'm saying that Lucifer was his right hand man, then he got jelly and got kicked out, turning into Satan.
That doesn't make sense is what I'm saying. Also remember, Jewish folklore and religion was a fluid thing. Originally thousands of years ago prior to the Babylonians enslaving them, they didn't even recognize YHVH as the only God in their religion, just the chief of many.
Lucifer and Satan have very different aspirations and counter-act one anther's natures. Lucifer wants to surpass and replace God.
Satan on the other hand wants to show the inherent flawed and weak nature to prove to God how weak and worthless man is. That's why Job was allowed to be tested by Satan with God's permission.
>Kaisar is sad Dandy
How the hell did we never realize this before?
>doesn't know what omnipotence is
>calling anyone else retarded
- all powerful (omnipotent)
- all knowing (omniscient)
- ever present (omnipersent)
- created the universe
- created himself
Nothing in Hinduism is described as being infallible and all powerful.
HS as a last resort if you're impatient.
Nah, they all work under the same guidelines. Greek, Nordic, Hindu, Judo-Christian, etc..Gods and angels and benign supernatural beings are all together.
We even saw Odin and Zeus fighting Satan and Bahamut in the prologue of the anime.
You confirmed you have no understanding of how weak Asuras actually.
Satan, Lucifer, Bahamut, Michael (main angel leader), Azazel, Cerberus, Pazuzu, High Demon, High Dragons, off the top of my head and the Giant Crab, sea monster dudes. I haven't watched the latest episode.
but that is wrong. there was no satan before the fall. there was only god/yhwh, the angels in heaven, and earth. lucifer decided he could be god too, but god rekt his ass and tossed him out of the angel's club. the angels that supported him followed and became what are referred to as demons. satan is just another name for lou.
Blue is good, though.
They're the best available release for this show, they use the broadcast source that includes 5.1 sound, and they don't darken and filter the picture all to shit like Funi does.
What do all the colors mean? I'm guessing
>green: satisfactory, mainly HorribleSubs
>orange: use as last resort (Deadfish, other mp4 guys)
>blue: trusted groups (Vivid, Commie, FFF, etc)
Raphaella and Uriel?
>Nowhere within the context of Isaiah 14, however, is Satan depicted as Lucifer. In fact, quite the opposite is true. In his commentary on Isaiah, Burton Coffman wrote: “We are glad that our version (ASV) leaves the word Lucifer out of this rendition, because...Satan does not enter into this passage as a subject at all” (1990, p. 141). The Babylonian ruler was to die and be buried—fates neither of which Satan is destined to endure. The king was called “a man” whose body was to be eaten by worms, but Satan, as a spirit, has no physical body. The monarch lived in and abided over a “golden city” (vs. 4), but Satan is the monarch of a kingdom of spiritual darkness (cf. Ephesians 6:12). And so on.
>The context presented in Isaiah 14:4-16 not only does not portray Satan as Lucifer, but actually militates against it. Keil and Delitzsch firmly proclaimed that “Lucifer,” as a synonym, “is a perfectly appropriate one for the king of Babel, on account of the early date of the Babylonian culture, which reached back as far as the grey twilight of primeval times, and also because of its predominate astrological character” (1982, p. 312). They then correctly concluded that “Lucifer, as a name given to the devil, was derived from this passage...without any warrant whatever, as relating to the apostasy and punishment of the angelic leaders” (pp. 312-313).
Unless they massively retooled her design, that's not Uriel.
orange are re-encodes. green is trusted. blue is best. white is everyone else.
i did not read the whole thread before i replied, and i see this off-topic discussion is getting ugly, so i withdraw.
I love angels with ten sets of wings.
Especially when they're on their head.
It's corny, but I dig it.
you misunderstand. the actual religious debate of the origin of satan/lucifer is off topic. in the context of the game/anime there should be no debate since they are established as different entities.
>I'm not a knight?
>Zoroaster claimed that Ahura Mazda was not an omnipotent God, but used the aid of humans in the cosmic struggle against Angra Mainyu. Nonetheless, Ahura Mazda is Angra Mainyu's superior, not his equal. Angra Mainyu and his daevas (spirits) which attempt to afflict humans away from the path of righteousness (asha) would eventually be destroyed.
Compared to God who proclaimed Himself God.
'Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; nor is there any who can deliver from My hand." (Deuteronomy 32:39).
I'm glad I was right with my suspicions about her being Amira's otou-san. I got it wrong with MAPPA's last show, where detective-kun already had a daughter and didn't speak with Lisa until basically the last few minutes of the series.
That ends the argument right there. The Christian God is beyond reproach.
It's like us playing a video game. The video game characters have no idea that they are being controlled, their mind would be blown learning of us, the gamers, programming and debugging and playing the game.
>Denkart Madan; Sanjana
>This that he who has no origin, the principle of the good, the Creator Ohrmazd is omniscient, omnipotent, universal Lord. There is not, nor was there, nor shall there be anything impossible to his good and virtuous Will. This too is revealed, that since all power is confined to the possible, he who is both origin and God of all, is omnipotent in the sphere of the possible.
Maybe not kill, but he'll certainly condemn him to an eternal cycle of suffering.
It's heavily implied in the last episode, in any case, but where did her demonhood and pink hair come from if Lavalley's a Holy Knight? Maybe he's on an errand from her real father instead? Fuck it, Maury would have a field day with her.
Find it out yourself. Her seiyuu is Megumi Han, in a more respectable turn out after YER KIDDEN.
If Amira is half demon and half angel, will we get an angel transformation out of her at some point in the series? Will she have two wings and fly around and save Favaro and Kaiser?
Or is her 'human' form actually her angel form?
Now that I think about it, she didn't have any wings or clothes in her Heaven Panty Raid, so I guess she won't have another form.
/a/ is one big party. Can I take these panties I nicked off you earlier? Thanks, you're so understanding.
There are no "multiple" gods or paganistic elements in Zoroastranism and its branch faiths. By that, logic Christanity is paganistic as well since many of the "Saints" are absorbed and re-imagined angels or mythological/folk heroes from local European folklore.
Ohramazd/Zurvan is the only God, Mazda is his son of light and righteousness, and Ahriman is his son of darkness and evil. Many asuras and local Iranian pre-Zoroastraniam folklore are woven into it to make the transition to it.
You are really confusing how inclusive vs dualistic monotheism works with polytheism.
So how many faiths and pantheons does Rage of Bahamut have?
Azi Dahka is from Zoroastranism, you have archangels from Judo-Christian-Islamic aka Abrahamic faiths, the Nordic and Greek pantheons, Hindu Gods (Shiva), Babylonian ones too (Gilgamesh and Enkindu), and even Celtic faiths like Cu Cullhan and Arthur.
What else am I missing?
YNVH is overpowered. Putting him in a story as active element is asking for trouble.
Better stick to the japanese kamisamas and their powerlevels, since they are essentially humans who grinded a lot of monsters.
i think the deal with pic related is that he is going to engineer bahamut's destruction using amira.
he knows the angels are fucking useless because they just want to keep bahamut bottled up. and he knows the demons are trouble because they are after the god key as well. maybe they forgot their history lesson after 2000 years and think they can control that big fucker or have some trick up their sleeves that they think will let them use its power somehow.
but this guy knows better. the angels are doomed to fail, and if the demons wake up bahamut, they will get rekt along with the rest of the world.
so now it is a race to see who can get the two keys. he gave amira the power of angels and demons and programmed her with her mission to get the keys because he wants to unseal bahamut. unlike the angels, he knows that big fucker cannot be contained; and unlike the demons, he knows it cannot be controlled. so the only way to insure that the fire and brimstone of 2000 years ago does not happen again is to destroy the final boss.
this guy knows that someone has to shove some magical sword into final boss's head. his visage has appeared as amira's stand twice, so maybe taking on bahamut like we see in the OP is amira's final task once she retrieves the demon's key from helheim.
but things go wrong as they usually do, and amira gets caught stealing the god key and gets btfo by michael and the demons. so he drops by presumably to assess the situation and lend a hand if necessary. he will find out about her traveling companions and somehow get them to help her. rita and kaiser probably will not need convincing, but he will bullshit favaro somehow into the position of the chosen one. they set out to help amira complete her mission. when it comes time for the final fight, some serious shit will go down, favaro will sacrifice himself and amira will shank bahamut for good.
tl;dr: amira is the hero. or am i full of shit?
>oy vey it's the furnaces all over again they are shitting everywhere I can't walk without stepping on some worm infested dong!
>why don't we just tell them to bury it?
>that'll be taken as another shoah.
>what if we tell them God told them to bury it?
YHVH evolves "into" the same Old Testament God in the Abrahamic faith anyway.
>In the oldest biblical literature (12th–11th centuries BC), Yahweh is a typical ancient Near Eastern "divine warrior" who leads the heavenly army against Israel's enemies; he and Israel are bound by a covenant under which Yahweh will protect Israel and, in turn, Israel will not worship other gods.:158–159 At a later period, Yahweh functioned as the dynastic cult (the god of the royal house):69–70 with the royal courts promoting him as the supreme god over all others in the pantheon (notably Baal, El, and Asherah (who is thought by some scholars to have been his consort)).:917 Over time, Yahwism became increasingly intolerant of rivals, and the royal court and temple promoted Yahweh as the god of the entire cosmos, possessing all the positive qualities previously attributed to the other gods and goddesses.:69–70 :917 With the work of Second Isaiah (the theoretical author of the second part of the Book of Isaiah) towards the end of the Babylonian exile (6th century BC), the very existence of foreign gods was denied, and Yahweh was proclaimed as the creator of the cosmos and the true god of all the world.:917
>By early post-biblical times, the name of Yahweh had ceased to be pronounced. In modern Judaism, it is replaced with the word Adonai, meaning Lord, and is understood to be God's proper name and to denote his mercy. Many Christian Bibles follow the Jewish custom and replace it with "the LORD".
>lidfardo will suicide soon after
nah. if he tries, rita will bring him back so she can have a punching bag.
>New Testament is clearly fanon.
but it was supposedly commissioned by the son of the author of the source material. it was written more as a narrative though and contradicts some key elements set forth in the original series, so i can see why people would
be turned off by it.
>Koran clearly states God is omnipotent and does not need rest
>Also Lucifer is now Satan in their canon and Gabriel goes around punching demons in the face while getting a harem of brown QTs
>No religion anime where it goes JoJo style with each book being a different part
>Part 1: Moses
>Part 2: Daniel (or whoever came after Moses)
>Part 3: Zoroaster
>Part 4: Jesus
>Part 5: Mohammad
>Part 6: Buddha
Not those people, the beheading/suicide bomb people. Not that they'd get into Japan in the first place so it wouldn't matter, but...
Is anyone actually arguing theology though?
Why does it always have to be winning someone, Why can't they just be good friends, There has been no romantic affection so far anyway (Thank god.)
All this religious talk is hurting my head.
Anybody play the western version of the game? My order only has two active members doing Dragoon's Dilemma, and that's including me.
>My order is shit.
nah. i ended up skipped half of the mc's arcs because they were all the same, just told from a different perspective. i just wanted to see how the series ended.
the book of mormon was pretty trippy. it stopped making sense about a third of the way through as though the author was still trying to figure out what he wanted to say. so i ended up dropping it. does it get better?
>Quran is more of a remake of the story incoporating both series
it was an interesting take on the original series, but there was nothing about the second series because the author does not consider it canon.
