Another cute tidbit I picked up was that Gou didn't really have to audition; Satou basically handpicked him to play Kaisar. He called him in to do the narration at the end of the first Comiket trailer for the show, and then 'while he was there' asked him to try reading for Kaisar.

I'm a bit surprised by the amount of "way too much talk/exposition", "worst episode yet" complaints I've seen today, both here as well as some blogs I checked out of interest.

I was glad to see the characters lay back for once and reflect a bit on their situation. Favaro getting pensive for once and breaking from his ruthless rogue mindset and having that reflective talk with Jeanne, Kaisar finally stopping to think about whether his grudge is really the right thing to have and pursue, some Rita antics and buildup of both Jeanne and the Bahamut situation. The episode felt good to me after all the breathless excitement we got up till now and it's pretty obvious it was a calm before the storm kinda deal, going by the after credit sequence. I guess my hopes or expectations were quite different this time around from other folks.

This, the show is exciting to watch but it needed at least one episode to show more of the conflict and for the characters to unwind and interact casually for once.
