How does /a/ feel about this? Only 7 published chapters out an originally planned 100, and it directly sucked out of Miura's creative energies for Berserk. He gave up after 7 and called it a 6 issue mini-series with 1 bonus one.

He's frail as it is and that might prevent him from ever working again.
Solitary confinement, albeit with adequate food.
If he does not draw, he goes back in the hole until he is willing to draw Berserk. Even a very small amount of progress is acceptable.
It was decent short story bud I expected that he will actually include intelligent references and linking the story's meaning to the actual legend of Gigantomachia. I got nothing of this sort except "Haha, see, it's called Gigantomachia and it's about fighting gigants! Aren't I genius?"
>still believing the idol maker bullshit
>thinking berserk is becoming moe
You retards realize the "pretty" atmosphere it has now is to show the illusion Griffith gives off right? And it's not like the fantasy elements aren't violent, as soon as we met the loli witch everyone's pissed off about we see an entire cave of trolls raping chicks.
Personally, I was always a bit disappointed to learn that Miura was some sort of shut-in nerd. I'd always taken him for a man of the world before.
I think Miura wanted Berserk to be like Guin Saga with over a hundred volumes, that's all I can recall.
I dislike people who are willing to write off Miura's problems with continuing the series as "muh idols". As soon as they get off the boat he has to bring a character back after twenty years of being relatively static, and I don't think people realize the depth of that.
Saved. Thanks anon, but I'm sure some people will still accuse Miura of being an IM@S junkie.
>and it directly sucked out of Miura's creative energies for Berserk
Except it did the opposite, it was the refresher he needed to get back on Berserk. After having gone an entire year without a chapter it's finally back on a monthly schedule.
Yeah but there's been no drop in the manga's quality - he's making sure that when stuff is finished it's to the same quality as before (which is fairly high) rather than going the hunterXhunter route of "fuuuuuuuuck, here's some scribbles, publish it would you jump? Thaaaayanks desu."
337 was September 26th, but whatever.
I wonder, do you think Miura is telling the truth when he says he works 15/16 hours a day?
I think it was absolutely great. I'm glad that Miura worked on a side-project that he loves. It probably did not suck creative energies from Berserk, I think it was a story that Miura really wanted to draw and that it put him in a good mood. It will only help his future career. Why would you ever give heat to an artist for being productive about something they obviously feel strongly about?
It wasn't planned to be 100 chapters originally. that was a mistranslation. You would have seen people freaking the fuck out everywhere because it would mean more than half a decade with no Berserk.
I really liked Gigantomaxia. Miura's amazing art in a scifi futuristic world and him writing a character who is so different from Guts was great.
