Well I finally finished this massive arc, or at least all but the wrap-up episode.
It was slow getting started and I don't like how Gon is going grimdark but GODDAMN that ending.
I never expected this from the guy who wrote that awful YYH ending. I don't think anything left in the series could compare to this.
Will you hold my hand, /a/?
Also you guys weren't fucking kidding about the Pitou beatdown.
Adult/transformed Gon doesn't look quite right though.
I stopped this episode nearly a dozen times just for screenshots.
I especially like how the Netero vs King fight worked out. I never expected the king to die to
poisoneven though it's clearly a ripoff of/spin on fallout.
>mfw OP creates another cancerous thread
>mfw OP has no one in his life who cares about him
>All the Royal ants and Pitou himself refer to him with the Male pronoun. So he is most probably a male.
Except that's entirely wrong? None of the characters refer to Pitou with any gendered pronoun, and boku is not the "male pronoun" when bokukko aren't uncommon in anime. Fix your shit, tripfag.
Woah m8, no need to go full autism.
Don't do it, anon, just ignore all the people saying that Pitou is male.
Why give a shit, even if you're objectively right and a stranger on the internet is wrong?
Surely there are better things to discuss about the series than character gender.
Well I just finished the 1st episode of the new arc. Hisoka showing up already is a good sign. Seems like 100 episodes without him.
Though I heard him talking to Illumi about visiting 'our father'. If that means what I think I really didn't see that one coming.
I haven't been hooked on a shounen since Soul Eater and I don't think I've marathoned anything like this in 2+ years.
The only part I didn't like about CA arc was that they didn't make Gon's eyes appear as empty as they were in the manga. The direction was great all around, but I think this detail lessened the impact a bit.
Not on hand, but if you look back on the parts where he's sitting in the room while Pitou heals Komugi, his eyes are pretty much always drawn as pure black circles, whereas in the anime they either still retain the pupils (which aren't distinguishable in the manga in the first place), or the "shine".
I just flipped through a few chapters, his eyes sometimes have the shine and they sometimes don't. Same as the anime.
And considering that the manga doesn't portray the color of his irises at any point anyway, I think Madhouse did a pretty decent job. It was as faithful as possible while sticking to their design decisions.
Don't worry Gon will turn evil, of all the regular shonen mains he's the one which I think will turn completely bonkers, he has acted like a cunt many times and has that darkness in him,
All he requires a push and we will get one of the best plot twists of all times
I got that feeling from the last arc. I'm hoping it doesn't happen in the anime.
I'm also pretty curious to see how Gon fights (presumably) without nen.
So far I'm 3 eps into the next arc and damn that blond dude is a real ambitious cunt. I hope he gets his ass pounded good later on for his manipulative faggotry.
That blond cunt is a real diamond when it comes to villains.
I just hope Togashi leaves his laziness and comes back.
This arc has some of the greatest potential but Togashi's laziness can destroy it
