What was Katarina's plan at the beginning? Just to show Itsuki the true "evils" of the world? I assumed she erased the actual Katerina's memories at the beginning in order to keep Itsuki to herself, so why did she give up so suddenly when she found new companionship at her school? Why did she even need to fake her disappearance at the end? I'm kind of confused.

Granted I'm sort of assuming the story is well thought out or at least makes some sense. Here's hoping someone more well read can enlighten me a little. Is it weird that I became more interested in the story rather than the hscenes half way through? They're still really good though.
