No, i think torque is too far. Torque is the tendency for a force to cause /rotation/, and considering the figure would fall straight down not fly in a circle, you would have to equate the force of gravity.

So lets split the figure into 2 parts, the left and right. The right side is the head and hair, with the left being the rifle and a bit of the lower body, split with her right leg.

If the right side has the same weight as the left, the forces F =m(ass)g(gravity) are balanced, and it will stand. If the head and hair are too heavy, the force on the right side will overpower that of the left, and make it fall over, and vice versa. Of course, there is some leeway as one side has to have enough force to overpower the other, AND lift it off the ground.

The reason that lesser distance means less tendency to fall is because the centre of gravity is lower, and the 'leeway' i talked about is harder to overpower.

Don't call people retarded if you don't even know the physics you use to prove them wrong.

Even if it was torque, force and distance, the 'force' you speak of is gravity, which is mass by acceleration. Thus, the weight of the figure does make a fucking difference, and thus you balance it.
