God, KyoAni is really good at making movies. This was fantastic.
It's a shame their recent tv series are not nearly as good.
>God, KyoAni is really good at making movies
Tell me about it. They make some good ass movies that blow the show out of the water
I loved every scene but my favorite one was the train scene, at the end.
I was also really surprised how much I liked the supporting characters. None of them was annoying, they were fun to watch, pretty and sympathic.
If she asked you to
build her a housewould you do it /a/?
>not wanting a Hyouka: Love Story
>takes place several years after high school, Chitanda and Oreki are close to the end of college
>they've kept in touch, but haven't seen much of each other since high school
>while she's back in town to get ready to take over the family's business after graduating, Oreki contacts her and they meet up
>they get to talking and eventually he reveals that he's discovered a mystery in town
>she kininarus as expected, and the rest of the movie is them working together to solve it
>at the end, we find out that Oreki set the whole thing up, and when they solve it, he tells her he loves her and proposes
>after the credits, we see them in their big ass house with tons of baby Chitandas and Orekis running around
>not wanting this
>the mysteries didn't provide character development
>the mysteries didn't provide drama
Did you even watch Hyouka?
Maybe the fact that the cast increasingly became more aware of themselves as the mysteries were solved?
I'm not trying to say Hyouka was perfect, but to say that the mysteries were shit and then go on to say that there was no character development because of the mysteries is just plain retarded.
I'm not saying the mysteries were only shit and killed the series, but in my opinion, they should've let more room for actual SoL, casual characters interactions (I loved that Chitanda Oreki episode but I was disappointed to see it was only them solving another mystery) and stuff like that.
You should at least watch some episodes just to get a grasp of the characters.
You don't need to watch the animu, but I highly recommend doing so, since the movie gets more impactful this way.
don't worry, Tamako and Mochi are happy
Me too. The movie did work out better without him though.
