It depends on when you were burned. If you were burned as a young child like myself, you have a much better chance of healing nicely and making the scars less noticeable with time. But if you get burned a little later in life it might not heal as well and be markedly more obvious. My own scars are rougher than the surrounding skin. It helps that they are partially concealed by my chest hair.
