The best part of the week is here
And the Pastebin
I'm sick as fuck, on bed, I really need a GA thread.
To take my mind away from the puke and the back pain.
What went wrong anon?
>Semen demons. All of them.
This show got me into anime with cute girls in it.
I only found out about this show thanks to some pretty immature dating sim on newgrounds
Most of us found out thanks to the crude flashgame at newgrounds
Commissar hat and monocle was a qt. She can fire my rifle any day.
They were all great, except for vanilla, because she's too vanilla and boring.
Then go play the games, where's she's the sweetest girl ever
I was pretty young back then
I don't remember how, but I came across the game first. The concept was interesting and I wanted to play it, but there was no translation at the time and I was too stupid back then to know where to find it.
Shortly after, I found out about the anime. Learned that it had nothing to do with the games, but gave it a shot anyway and I loved it.
After all that, I came across the flash game while searching for the actual game.
I didn't hear about the actual game's existence until after a few years. Then no translation for a bit and I rediscovered the games two years ago.
You don't talk shit to my waifu like that little shit. I bet you don't even have enough balls to man up and fight me in streets nigga because I WILL FUCKING END YOU. Prepare to get hacked scrub ass bitch. I will send missiles your way little fuccboi so get that asshole ready when I come through.
I`m hot and sweating cold. I feel like shit
That's the exact reverse order of how I got into it. Did you discover it more recently, anon? Because I played the NG game in who knows how many years ago, the anime in roughly 2011~2012, and the game just this year. Coincidentally these threads popped up right as I beat my first route on EL.
Calm down Normad
I played the flash game early 2000's and then played through
Didn't even finish me sentence. Even though it's obvious, I played through them like mad and got depressed when it all ended.
Ranpha was the girl I wanted from the start but then Vanilla dropped like a nuke
It was maybe a year or so after GA first came out judging by release dates. I don't remember how I came across the games first, but I know it's odd considering everyone's first exposure was either the anime or the flash game.
Never really fancied his artstyle
its not lewd because I removed the cowtits.
So I decided to divide the last CG set into two parts. Mostly because the final portions have the same scenes with just different girls.
Then I realized removing the spoiler parts for a girl's route really lowers the CG's but whatever.
Rico's is done
While the spoiler parts will come later
Depends on the route covered
Absolute purity adds a lot of charm
Dammit, Creta. Kung-fu Fighter with a drill would've been awesome to watch.
I can imagine all the possible upgrades if there ever was a new game
You said it, Lily.
Took me a while longer to get started than I thought, but now we're back on track.
The almost week long break since I last played also helped me grow more used to the new designs.
I personally thing EK got the design for the new crew the best. ZR had the best for the old crew
Any other good artist who could succeed the series?
I'm actually enjoying the new designs for the moon angel wing, and for most of the rune angels, except Natsume still doesn't look like Natsume to me, and also Nano doesn't look quite the same age anymore.
>Not the same age
It sort of helps me since the really young Nano wasn't my favorite.
IF anything, Natsume goes back to looking like Natsume in any shot where she isn't completely facing forward
She definitely looks better from any other angle, but it also bothers me how different her hair looks.
I guess the softening of the hair lowered the details on the hair.
I really never expected them to pull that card.
The Rune Angels get themselves a good minute and a half of cutscene awesomeness too
It's an old series so I HIGHLY doubt it
I can't believe they actually went there.
Time to cleanse the impurities with cuteness.
If I remember correctly, it's just a matter of making sure she doesn't plow into the enemy since she doesn't have the defense to do a fly-by. So order her to attack something, and when she gets too close order her to back up, and repeat?
Apparently 3 is the best
It's only been a good 7 years
Alas, It seems I used up my energy for discussions last Monday. Well, this is now a Forte Thread.
I've been riding these recent threads on the GAII anons playthrough since I'll doubt I will get anyone else here to play them.
That and the CG's which I should get to finishing but I only have one route left
and I don't want this to end
My love for Forte have increased since these threads so I think I'll go replay her route in the original
Originally, I went for Milfy but Forte's Chapter ultimately changed my decision.
Min'ts voice in the tank episode was something else
Well it seems like we're dead so better luck tomorrow for us
I'll stick around
And since I'm going to sleep, there are actually a few YT videos to walk you through it. Unless you get the fuwanovel version download where I think you don't even need to install. I think that's what I heard
And since I'm awake
I will keep it alive
sick mint bro here, feeling a little better. atleast enough to be out of bed.
You can do it
On 2nd thought, it's too cold to do anything this early
His arranged theme is a bit more enjoyable.
And that makes all the regular and arranged versions of the angel wing. Still have the piano versions left to do.
Stats but I barely think they ever mattered
By the way, I think I'm hearing a hiccup at the beginning of Anise's regular theme
The thread's staying up on a Saturday a lot earlier than thought possible so I expected some confusion here and there
It's more of a thing now that GA threads exist on Weekends.
In my case, I played the last 3 chapters of EK on Rico's route last week and this week I got 2 more fights left in Nano's
I just don't want it to end which is why I ain't touching that for now
Quite literally. Why even bother living?
That being said, of course I did Nano's route last. Broccoli loves giving the "genki loli" the most emotional routes for all three games. She's my least favorite but shit, I really felt something wonderful seeing her route in EK
I'll admit I barely remember any of the routes for MK or EK. Haven't played through any of them for a while now and whenever I play, I usually go straight to mania score attack.
I even forgot I still needed to go through all the routes again in EK for the cgs since at some point I forgot to backup my memory card while updating pcsx2.
You now have an excuse to play through EK again. In my case, the constant computer changes leave me with me playing the first series way too many times. I still need to go complete those galleries again.
EK has a serious case of loses its magic the more you play it though.
There will never be the same amount of hype as when first seeing the original crew back in action, or when shit goes down in the final few chapters.
Oh of course, nothing beats playing it the first time through. I felt the story dragged a bit for the character development chapters but more details stuck and I enjoyed it my second full playthrough a bit more.
But seeing Chapters 8-11 was probably one of the most hypest things I've ever experienced. I can barely think of other trilogies that pulled some shit like that.
The magic of GA will never be forgotten
And finally Nano's theme, which honestly is just weird. The arranged version sounds nice for a while, but then there's just too much going on.
And that makes everyone's themes plus arranged versions, this time for real. Any requests for other songs?
The only other memorable ones for now are the fight theme for the Marquis (I think it's called Stardust War) and the Briefing Room theme.
Thanks for the music thus far
Someone mentioned they had an idea on where to continue after the finale of EK
Mint looks so goddamn sexy in the volleyball outfit. and vanilla`s pose is funny.
It's unwise to play a sport with only one free hand
Finished Nano's route and hearing Winy of Destiny sung slowly by the 6 girls
It's finally over.
The thing is, I barely understood that as well. From what I've got it's mostly assimilating their culture on others. Then when the crew denied that, they got pissed and decided to wipe everything out. Rejecting their one true way meant disobedience and disrespect. It's old Val-Fasq policy plus 1
Shit made little sense to me in the first place so I still give my vote for pic related as best GA II antagonists
Weird. Where's the anon that said he could try to get a translation for GAII going?
Anyway, putting aside Will for now, this would be my idea for a GA3. Bear with this, cause it's probably going to sound like a total wankfest.
Signing off for a late lunch.
I'll make a thread later if it does end up dyin.
Anyway, it would initially take place in a universe that exists outside of ABSOLUTE (I don't know what the proper term to use here would be).
This universe would actually be our universe, which we'll conveniently name GAIA to follow the four letter naming scheme for GA universes.
Standard undisclosed period of time in the future, but space tech still hasn't advanced as that far.
That's when a probe comes across advanced technology floating in space that contains the secrets to Chrono String technology.
Within years after reverse engineering this technology, mankind begins to colonize the galaxy and beyond.
That would be the backstory of the setting at least. If the rest sounds like it'd be a whole lot of shit you'd rather not waste time reading, I'll stop here.
I wouldn't be surprised since it's a basic starting point I guess.
Earth's governments unite to form a central government called the GAIA Sphere. Protagonist enlists in the new naval academy for space.
Years later, his crew discovers a Chrono Gate on the edge of the known universe.
After studying it, they learn that it connects to an entirely different universe (plot point later that it doesn't connect to ABSOLUTE).
The GAIA Sphere decides to send an expeditionary force into the new universe. This is where the story would actually begin.
Is it just me or does it feel like the reason for the artstyle change was so that they could fit more characters on screen at once?
There were scenes with three, but I think that was the limit. Any more characters and they just used portraits.
Anyone got a GA dubs pic?
The expedition force spends days fighting off the automated fleet while trying to find if there's any sentient life in the new universe.
After some time fighting off nothing but the automated fleet, an approaching force opens up communications. They identify themselves as
EDEN. What a twist!
>You'll never meet young Milfie and Rico
Why. Even. Bother.
To the best of EDEN's knowledge, the forces from GAIA are mysterious invaders.
The expedition force from GAIA beats back EDEN's scouting force, but then they receive orders from back home to keep the Chrono Gate's location a secret from EDEN.
This culminates in a battle where Tact appears and leads the Luxiole and Rune Angels against the new angels from GAIA. And the forces from GAIA are getting wrecked until sudden reinforcements show up, forcing EDEN to temporarily retreat.
Protagonist is ordered to retreat back through the Chrono Gate to receive upgrades and whatnot. He expresses concerns that their mission suddenly changed from recon to full-on invasion. Returns just in time for the big showdown between the EDEN and GAIA forces.
Luxiole is nowhere to be found during this battle. After thinning out some of EDEN's forces, it's reported to have slipped past the battle lines and making a beeline to discover where the GAIA forces are coming from.
Cue chase battle, but they still get beat by the Rune Angel team.
They break off in a different direction. Luxiole gives chase. One last battle where the new team manages to come out on top.
Tact surrenders, but before anything else happens, a huge death ray rips the space between the two warships.
The death ray is coming from a huge weapon that's pumping out ships for the automated fleet.
The ships this time are sporting designs from GAIA's fleet, making Tact and the protagonist realize that some other force has been pitting them against each other the whole time.
Final battle, new team and Rune Angels team up to defeat the weapon.
The rest of GAIA's fleet arrives to witness the carnage, which just happens to involve "their" ships.
The new team are branded traitors, forcing them to make a sudden retreat with the Luxiole.
And that would be it for the first game.
So yeah, suddenly an intergalactic conspiracy.
I think Mint's voice in the first season was the best
I don't even know anymore. Then again, her CG's had some lewdish shots of her
I'd envision the new lead as super serious when it matters, criminally lazy (more than Tact) when unmotivated, but still not a goofball or possessing any of Tact's light womanizing habits.
Haven't thought about any subcommander stuff yet.
Well, it's been the same people for a good month
Rather, little people make it hard to get a good discussion going
I guess we could discuss and "rate" the routes.
But only two people in here have played the games
It's an understandable pattern of thought to not like the new crew as much. Plus when I said vouch for the games, I was also referring to getting new people into the first set of games too.
So far I've got around 4 identifiable people that show up in our threads
The GAII Anon who got us the Extra CG's, the other playing through the second set, the Fortebro that comes out at night.
I apologize if I actually forgot anyone if they're around
Let's shift back to the anime for a bit. Who else got a completely serious episode?
What exactly is the question being asked?
Did anyone else have a more or less solo role amongst the angels in a serious episode?
We all know about the ones centered around Forte, and then Milfie had that episode. I don't remember the others getting one.
Fuck it. Who wants to play some baseball with the angels?
With monstrous strength like hers, I guess she was just too nervous.
I forget if they actually had that in the anime and not make that feature a game-only thing
If she had her telepathy, I'm sure more than half that stuff that ends up happening to Mint would've never happened.
Also, what is it with baseball games in anime always turning into violent spectacles of some sort?
It wouldn't be anime if any sports were highly exaggerated.
Why was this episode so great?
Did they ever bother giving birth dates?
I've been rewatching them in a random order.
This was probably my favorite episode from season 1.
