What the most awkward animation you've seen in anime?
I thought they were cake bun things or something.
This animation looks super forced, which is a waste since they obviously put time into it. Having Quality animation because of not having a budget is one thing, but wasting your budget is a travesty.
>that shit-tier rotoscoping
This is how it should be done.
>actually defending this shit
Please, Bahi is a hack who tries too hard.
It looks awkward in motion too, and the poor draftsmanship is noticeable. Good animation shouldn't stand out too much as it breaks viewer immersion. Audiences should be thinking of the subjects on the screen as characters, not mere drawings.
Except it fucking doesn't you retard, the characters tripping is exaggerated for comedic effect but the objects fall realistically and that recoil is orgasmic
>Good animation shouldn't stand out too much as it breaks viewer immersion
Please stop sounding like a mongoloid
He isn't sounding like a mongoloid, he is sounding like an American animator.
But he is half-right, Bahi can't actually draw. He has good timing, but he can't draw a straight line to save his life and has overall poor artistic skills. He is like an slightly more talented Niho.
Not, it's shit. Their motions are awkward and both characters look like they're constantly on the verge of falling over, on top of being generally full of unnecessary fidgety movements that make both characters look like they're coming off of a cocaine high.
Do me a favor. Got out onto any street and find me footage of any person moving like the two people in the OP.
If that person is not drunk, homeless, or a recent mugging victim, you win.
By 'awkward' do you mean offputting awkward or just plain bad?
I'm watching the original Gundam right now and I wish I could make a fucking webm collage of all the examples of garbage animation in this show.
Was just about to post it.
Now that I saw it again, it doesn't seem that bad.
I know it's stupid to complain about too much animation, but it looks like that's the problem for me.
"Good animation shouldn't stand out too much" is too strict a rule. Just because the scene isn't unrealistic doesn't mean it's awkward. A lot of information is expressed through the style. In this scene, even though the bounciness of the characters is unrealistic., it reflects the panicked and lighthearted tone.
The art may be unpolished, but the animation executes its intentions well.
I'm not saying that good animation shouldn't stand out. I'm saying that good animation shouldn't give me the impression that two characters are actually starved crackheads who are about to fight to the death in order to secure the other's stash, which they will of course blow through in one binge session and spend an entire weekend lying in an alley staring at the sky wondering where it all went wrong.
