I thought it was great. The characters are already pretty well developed for a first episode but there's still a lot of room for more. I like how the setting is played straight instead of for laughs (although either would be fine, the latter is more predictable and would end up being boring I think).

Yes, I thought the same thing. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't go that route and shove a bunch of jokes in that people would just complain weren't funny. I also enjoyed the soundtrack with her singing along to her cartoon idols while driving like a maniac as well as the OP.

Have to agree. It's so cliche to pick the main girl as the best girl and I do it so often, but I'm probably going to do it again in this case. The way she's such a fanatic and really loves her work is adorable.

Yeah, that ending did a good job of catching my attention too. My first thought before she opened the door was "oh shit, overworked animator commited suicide." Looks like she just collapsed though.

It really was a pretty solid first episode, but I do think the animation seemed a little sloppy at times. Especially when they were literally talking about the things that seemed sloppy. Maybe it was intentional. Like the mouth flaps seemed sort of off when they were talking about how trying to do dubbing without the keyframes being done yet will make everything off.

It's kind of refreshing to have a show with an all adult cast, especially an SoL. So many of these shows are about girls in high school. I guess this one was too for a couple minutes.
