Thoroughly enjoyable anime, just through panache it sharpened up its quirks and characters to a mind-blowing edge. I've seen much more meaningful and sometimes more artistic animes, better quality animation and more endearing characters, sure. But this Dandy's aim was true; it encompassed the medium and made me kek it bad.

I loved this series because each episode felt so distinctly different from one another, and it still managed to handle the B Story it had hidden in there all along quite well.

I really want an artbook and possible movie.

Totally agree with how the story is handled. Space Dandy is a show that gives you everything while promising you nothing.

Chameleonian episode might still be my favorite with having watched the whole series. The final episode does add a lot of subtext to some lines in certain episodes (the joke in the beginning of episode one alone is 10x funnier just knowing the truth).

Meh. I wasn't in love with it when it started, but it grew on me and became one of my favorites. The last two episodes felt really sub-par to me though. Some of the previous episodes had just been so seriously amazing that my hype for the finally was off the charts and it didn't even come close to delivering on my expectations. I'm thinking maybe the entire courtroom episodes should've been done away with entirely and the finale made into a 2-parter for it to have possibly been better. A lot of the animation in the finale seemed so unpolished too. LIke I get the crazy style and I loved it in some episodes but it seemed too wacky at the end there. Some of it was nice. I don't know. I can't call it AOTS when after the final episode all I could muster up was a "meh" before immediately deleting the episode. I feel like there was a lot of potential there and they messed it up by rushing the ending. The pionium thing coiuld've been eplained in a couple of minutes with a couple of dialogue exchanges instead of taking an entire episode. Sorry. I wanted to love it too, but just, nah.
