The only scene in the entire show that I remember is from one of the later episodes when Linda kicks Banri in the back and he tries to kick her back and he misses.

I remember it being a little funny sometimes but it was a really mediocre show.

Also, as a whole, it was mediocre. Would have been a thousand times better without the ghost banri bullshit if you ask me. I liked Banri's and Kouko's character though. And 2D-kun was a real bro.

Eh, the show goes hand in hand with me. Nothing really out of the norm except for ghost Banri shit but I think it was alright. I appreciate shows that look have characters that are more mature, not people who are like 14 and not know how to do shit.

It was as awkward as you'd expect from a Chiaki Kon production. The manga is way more engaging.

Its not for everyone, especially for those who never had a real relationship before.

Banri kept fucking things up because he was afraid of his other self taking over but there was no point in getting that worried about it because there's nothing he could do about it anyway and Koko had a change of heart every few episodes.

Fun show but I wish they handled certain parts like the ghost bits better.

Anyways, I thought it had some pretty great aspects that were kind of lost in a sea of bullshit. I liked pretty much all of the characters and I mostly liked their relationships and interactions, but all the amnesia-related drama and Ghost Banri shenanigans were just shit. Sadly, these shitty aspects kind of were the focus of the show, especially later on. If it had just been a romcom taking place in college it would have been great. As it was it was mediocre, though I still enjoyed it.

I didn't think Koko's and Banri's relationship was forced at all. They were friends for several episodes before they started dating, and Koko had at least a couple of episodes, I don't remember how many exactly, to come to terms with the realization that Mitsuo wasn't and never would be romantically interested in her. The fact that she had gotten over her childish fantasy - and it was more of a fantasy of an ideal romance with Mitsuo as the male lead more than actual obsession with Mistuo as a person - and was ready to date someone who actually liked her wasn't shocking, it was a positive, healthy development.

anyone who has been in a relationship when you're around the ages of 16-20 can relate to several scenes from the anime. That and the characters made it worth it to me.

Of course i know the plot goes downhill and the ending was rushed, but i still liked it.

Really, though, I have zero experience with romance, and I liked Golden Time, especially the parts that were about relationships. I remember many anons complaining about how the characters and their interactions were unrealistic as fuck, and I still can't understand what those anons were on about. It was a mediocre story, but characters and their interactions were its strong point. It's greatest flaw was, in my opinion, not just relying on this strong point and letting the story flow naturally from characters and their interactions, instead introducing bullshit sources of drama.

Chiaki Kon killed the show. I thought she was supposed to be good, with Nodame Cantabile and all.

The bits just before the end, when Banri dumps Kouko, were brilliant. Not even a Lindafag, but when Banri and Kouko suddenly reconcile at the end I can't see that as anything other than an asspull.

I agree with you completely anon. The ending really was a low point for the entire show. It was so rushed and poorly executed that while it may not have strictly speaking been an asspull it sure as hell felt like one and left a very similar aftertaste. They spent a good 3-4 episodes building up to Banri and Kouko's dramatic break-up and Banri's return to his pre-accident self and then turned around and attempted to unfuck the whole jumbled mess in less than 20 minutes, which turned out about as well as you'd expect fucking terribly.

It would've been so much better if they'd taken another episode or two to flesh things out and made episode 24 the pay-off of 2D-kun and the rest of the gangs weeks long mission save the Banri and Kouko's relationship, rather than trying to cram it all into a 5 minute flashback.

I don't get Lindafags. I don't get their disappointment. It was obvious from pretty early on that Koko and Banri would end up together. Even towards the end, all the focus that Banri, Koko and their relationship had received before made Koko end an almost certain thing. How could anyone actually have expected Linda and Banri to get together and be disappointed when that didn't happen?

I've been in Golden Time threads pretty much since the show started airing and to this day I have no idea. After the second cour started and OP2 and ED2 came out and were just as Kouko-centric as OP1 and ED1 were it was plain as day to anyone with a even a hint of common sense that there was literally no hope of Linda ever winning the Banribowl.

The majority of Lindafags must just be either extremely delusional or incredibly thick. Not all of them are insane though, if that makes you feel any better. Pic related.
