All DALs are love.
But Reine is true end.
Less than two weeks left before volume 11. Get hype.
Anyway nice to see DAL is still alive.
Becausae you are a massive fag.
Still no better image of the cover?
WHAT!? Did it reach the bump limit?
Got it. Still not much new other than the sample pics.
Hopefully because these samples are really too small.
I want to ravage her with my dick.
Putting DaL in the topic helps fellow anons dude.
It's the "I gonna get ya!" expression.
Do we even know what is going the movie be about? Other than -Original Content- material we have little else.
I missed that previous thread so it took me by surprise. Also, Isn't about time we get a proper cover of Vol11?
Wasn't the cover of Vol10 released 3-4 weeks before the Novel release date?
I think so, seeing Origami spirit form was hyped as fuck
No. The tiny one came out at the exact same time as this one and the other came out barely a few days before. The full cover will never be out early. It's been this way since the series began
It looks like yesterday when we still had quite a few expectations for S2.
>taking this long to post best deito
Guess I got my timing memory wrong then.
She has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much fan art already.
>too much Kurumi
surely you jest
Is as if people is making fan art for each and EVERY clone she has.
You say that like its a bad thing...
All DALs are love except Ellen.
Why does Tsunako clone Nepgear so much?
Anyone has the Shiori edit with Nepgear colors at hand?
Anyone has the Shiori edit with Nepgear's colors at hand?
I just wish some of those artists did -other- DaLs from time to time.
But that would be a waste of time they could be using to create more glorious Kurumi art!
I feel ya
I wouldn't hesitate marrying her.
I want to ravish Origami and not call her the next day.
I want to nut insider of her and take responsibility.
I want her to tease me while giving me a handjob
I want to tease her clit and belly button as she pulls on my hair.
>Kurumi will NEVER dominate you or make you her boy toy
Why even live?
>Out of Character - The Game
I like mad Yoshino
The whole game is a collection of silly moments.
>absolutely horrifying shit fanart
>Shiori a square piece of boring shit.
The problem is when you grab a scrapped design for a paper product and use it to design a ship only to change your mind and use said design again for the paper product's flipped form.
Yep. It looks like Tsunako keeps refining her ideas. Specially the ones that did not catch the first time around.
Sandalphon's final design is pretty shittacular, I have to admit.
Literally any sword in there would've been better.
But most of her prototype designs are waaaay too overdesigned and busy compared to the final one.
>>The Editor strikes once more...
Tohka's final design is more in-line with that type of artwork the series uses so it's to be expected.
>tfw we could've had a Dark Tohka-esque lost soul who wreaked havoc across the land because it's all she knew how to do
>tfw editor-san thought that was too dark and make Tachibana change it from the spirits themselves causing havoc into them being innocent maidens who just happened to cause gigantic natural disasters every time they appeared
>tfw we ended up with a retard who took absolutely zero effort to win over (all Shidou had to do was lead her from restaurant to restaurant for fuck's sake) and absolutely zero meaningful moral quandaries about whether the spirits deserved to be saved or not
Origami: Recently, the imaginary note of married live with Shidou is breaking 50th volume. By the way, the most recent entry is about worrying for the kid's High School entry exam.
Spirit No2 goes here.
Kurumi thought about putting on an eye patch to hide her left eye before transferring to Shidou's school, but felt embarrassed about it because it looked too cool; so she used her hair to cover the eye instead.
X_X = 3
Yoshino: She thinks the scariest thing in the world is people who suddenly hand out tissues (flyers, but Yoshino doesn't know that) when she's out walking.
X_X = 0.5
Kotori: She worries about what she should do if Shidou gave her ribbons that weren't black or white.
X_X = 3
Spirit No6 goes here.
Natsumi would go here had they released her Profile...
Kaguya: Recently she's been thinking about cool entrance quotes and poses, but it's been bothering her a little because she can't decide which one is better between "rip through the dark night" and "clad in chaos".
X_X = 2
Yuzuru: She tries to surprise everyone by disguising herself as Kaguya, but they recongize her immediately.
Yuzuru has yet to figure out why the disguise didn't work, much to Kaguya's chagrin, who is seen pressing her
X_X = 2
Miku: She doesn't want to use aircon during summer because it's bad for the throat, but she can't stand
the hot weather either. This dilemma troubles her every year.
X_X = 4
Tohka: Seriously worried about what to do if there were a feast that she couldn't finish. Although she has yet to encounter such situations.
X_X = 1
>not even 200 posts
Seriously calm the fuck down. Don't do this shit for two weeks. Just wait the two damn weeks. Nothing is going to happen in between then and now. The whole first half of this thread is a disgusting example of how these are with nothing to talk about
I think he is referring to a Date-a-Live were the Spirits genuinely don't know anything else that to fight and Ratatoskr is out to change that:
>>What if the Spirit learns what's good and bad?
>>What decision will the Spirit take.
>>Can Shidou move them to a peaceful resolution?
The list goes on. Please note that Origami's hatred for the Spirits becomes much more justifiable in this version of the setting, AST begin outmatched and forced into diversion tactics becomes much more understandable AND the fact that DEM has the means to actually defeating a Spirit with the Adeptus becomes that much more scarier in this version of the setting... Here too, the list goes on...
I think you could see a bit of what Tohka was originally envisioned as in Inverse Tohka.
Specifically when she calls Shidou a "human who's trying to trick me."
Though, if you really think about it, that doesn't quite make sense in the current story. Why would Inverse Tohka be wary of humans if she never came in contact with them? If she still has regular Tohka's memories but is filled with negative emotion shouldn't she still recognize Shidou then? She's either a amnesiac instinctive destructive force or a reflection of Tohka's darker thoughts, she can't be both.
>>She's either a amnesiac instinctive destructive force or a reflection of Tohka's darker thoughts,..
>>..she can't be both.
Yes she can.
>never came in contact with them
>has regular Tohka's memories
She doesn't. Her whole being was overtaken by normal Tohka which is why the memories began to reappear. To me they're separate beings entirely.
Yes it's still a simple no they don't deserve to be saved and ratatoskr would be a pretty shit organization if that was how the series was set up. They have to be good, or else there is no legitimate reason to bother going through the trouble of saving them.
There were more hints that inverse Tohka has already been to the human world. For starters, she asked where she was and said she'd never heard of the place, she clearly knows what humans are and doesn't seem to care for them, and wescott also seemed to know exactly what he was doing and who would appear
In retrospect it's really, really obvious that Tachibana just added a few extremely contrived elements to please his editor and left it at that.
>Spirits aren't allowed to kill anyone so they'll just half-heartedly defend themselves while making sure to not seriously injure anyone even thought that makes no sense if you really think about it.
>But if spirits don't kill anyone then why do people hate them? Let's toss in a spacequake plot device that kills millions of people but isn't actually directly the fault of the spirits themselves! But it'd still be too dark if spacequakes killed anyone in the present, so let's say that those deaths all happened in the past and in the present cities all have ridiculously unrealistic spacequake shelters in place that have a 100% success rate in protecting the entire city's citizens from spacequakes and spirit battles!
>And just to make sure spirits don't kill anyone, AST personnel are equipped with equipment ludicrously skewed towards defense so that they're almost impossible to kill but have almost no offensive firepower, even though that goes against all logic!
>>They have to be good.
Ratatoskr whole point in this version is to prove that they can be good if they are shown how.
>Yes it's still a simple no they don't deserve to be saved and ratatoskr would be a pretty shit organization if that was how the series was set up. They have to be good, or else there is no legitimate reason to bother going through the trouble of saving them.
The original version of the spirits would be much akin to child soldiers in a war-torn country who have committed plenty of atrocities due to being forced into the role.
Remember that even though Tohka looks 16, mentally she's pretty much a toddler. There would be as much legitimate reason to save a Tohka who's leveled cities as there would be to save a twelve year old child soldier who has a kill count numbering in the dozens. They just don't know better.
So if inverse Tohka is her own person who has come into contact with people before and been hurt by them, isn't Shidou a pretty damn big hypocrite for claiming that he'll save all the spirits and yet ignoring the inverse ones? He'll save Tohka but inverse Tohka can go to hell?
>Although she has yet to encounter such situations
Careful little lady, you don't want to end up like your Deviantart depictions.
But why bother going through such trouble to begin with? Where is the motivation? The only reason any of this is happening is because MC doesn't want to see them suffering because of his past and he can emotionally connect with them and see they're not bad.
Everything described was extremely early draft. Original concepts called spirits "monsters" instead of spirits, they didn't use spacequakes, they just destroyed everything themselves. This was deemed a bad idea because it made them seem to inherently evil which I agree with. There was never any evidence they would have killed anyone, but the collateral damage was caused intentionally instead of indirectly
This only applies to Tohka though. Every spirit is supposed to be different.
Right on track there dude! Quite a few of the odd inconsistencies in DaL can be put in this severe toning down as the Author was going for heavier story setting. The other can be put on the fact that, because of DaL popularity, the story has been stretched way past the original plan of 10 Volumes.
That said, all of this makes me wonder both how DaL would have been had it been 2Fast4Furious in 10 Vols only AND to ponder the fact that maybe, just maybe, the Editor-san may have been right in lowering the weight of the story in order to focus on a far more caring and fun tale...
She seems to have her own memories as well as personality. We'll probably never revisit it again, and never really know how it works, but it sure as heck seems like what you said is exactly the situation. Which is a bit cruel, but inverse is supposed to be nothing but evil.
>This was deemed a bad idea because it made them seem to inherently evil which I agree with
If a bear mauls a group of tourists because one moron decided to throw rocks at it does that make the bear "inherently evil"? In this original scenario mankind would've almost assuredly fired the first shot to cause said spirits to begin raging in the first place. Hell this scenario is left intact in the final draft with Tohka attacking the AST to defend herself as well as causing minor property damage (the spacequake caused the rest) and being labeled "evil" and a target to be eliminated because she endangers humanity. The point is that she's not and she deserves a second chance because all she's ever known is being attacked by strange girls flying through the sky and could learn to co-exist peacefully with humanity if given the opportunity to. The original scenario would've just taken off all the silly training wheels and have her actually attacking what she perceives as the enemy and being the source of the catastrophe herself rather than some odd space-time phenomenon.
Re-read Vol07 and focus on the part that Tohka remembers Shidou. They are the same person but in a heavily altered state of mind. As for the devil they wield you must also remember that THAT part is something they took from outside of them (And something Wescott is way too inerested in..) as Tohka once again remembered in Vol10 that taking that external power had very hard consequences on everything so she chose "to remain herself" at that time.
>>But why bother going through such trouble to begin with? Where is the motivation?
Is is theorized that Ratatoskr main boss fell in love with an Spirit so he is now out to save them. Shidou's power to seal them is part of his plan to do it.
I think they were just worried about characters being liked/hated so much. Obviously it doesn't matter to most though (see: Kurumi) but you can tell they try to keep spirits away from doing anything... wrong or bad. for example, Kurumi in her volume was shown killing people who did bad things, rather than showing her slaughter innocent people. Because obviously the second would generate a more negative response from the fans. They don't want you to dislike anyone. Though it seems this does not apply to Origami for some reason
So Woodman probably fell in love with Phantom. Westcott probably did as well but in a twisted "oh, what a beautiful, exalted being! Such strength! Such power!" And the Mathers sisters were in love with their respective men as well but were secretary-zoned. Then Westcott did something stupid and pissed Phantom off which caused the three of them to go their separate ways.
Something like that?
That's the worst part of the theory. The Spirit he may have fallen in love is very probable to have died in the hands of DEM's experimentation at the time Woodman (and Ellen's sister) was still with the company. After seeing the error of their ways and no longer begin able to see the Spirits as objects(*) he took the closest members of his team with him and left DEM for good.
(*)Just remember how Ellen treated Natsumi...
>>Something like that?
Kinda but with the change that the Spirit in question is not [Phantom] as she is more likely a third force in this. Woodman's way in his talk with Tohka makes me think that the Spirit he fell in love with is no more yet he is carrying on to save the others.

>Woodman's way in his talk with Tohka makes me think that the Spirit he fell in love with is no more yet he is carrying on to save the others.
Isn't it possible Woodman simply doesn't realize that Phantom is the spirit that he fell in love with? Moreoever, Phantom definitely seems to err on the side of the spirits in her own way. In fact wouldn't it be likely that the sephira crystals in her possession she stole from DEM?
>>Just when we were having a nice discussion...
Gotta go DaL. Hopefully this thread will make it to tomorrow.
Have a good night.
I think that [Phantom] did indeed flee with the Sephira Crystals and also that she is in fact in the side of the Spirits in her own way(*) but I think that Woodman's waifu is no more.
(*)[Phantom] 's way may sound good in theory but it too may be twisted but that's for Shidou to discover and maybe correct a bit.
Delicious, delicious suffering.
This thread really makes me wish I didn't delete my Origami folder....
Is that Origami with long hair? Holy fuck I'm gonna have a heart attack.
And Tachibana planned for this from the start AND he manged to do it despite Editor-san watchful eye...
What on Earth is happening in Vol11?! Editor-san what have you done THIS TIME?!!?!?
>>They don't want you to dislike anyone.
Precisely. Just look at Tohka's popularity and haw many covers/votes she has in proportion to DaL. Would have she been liked this much had the story advanced as intended? Maybe or maybe not but the fact remains that DaL become much more acceptable to the general audiences because of the lighter tone it took.
Kurumi's popularity is an odd case (at least for me) in that her design is certainly a hit well outside DaL sphere of influence despite her relatively small screen/LN time in the spotlight. Maybe hers is a case that could have worked with the original story as a difficult character to 'save' from her own twisted sense of justice. her dealings with Shidou under this setting could have been even more stark but oddly familiar as I think one of the reasons the Author uses her so little is to shield her away from Editor-san's influence.
IMHO it is. As you can see in this thread we have some 'complains' that the story is much more lighter than how the Author originally intended but that's only nitpicking from us.
>Five years ago. The fateful day Origami's parents were killed by a spirit and when Kotori turned into a spirit. The day of despair when Tobiichi Origami who has been turned into a spirit, was crushed. In order to avoid the worst outcome, Shido now stands in Tengu City, 5 years, in the past, in order to change the world.
What will be the fate of Ellen later in your opinion?
>>in order to change the world.
Even with that she is still surprisingly popular.
>>Some people just have a weakness for cute, no matter how useless or shit a character is.
First season is nice even to as an adaptation it oversimplifies almost everything. S2 is OK-ish in the Twins arc but you are better served if you simple wait for the BD subs.. If they ever release it but it sill be definitely worth waiting for that.
I want to hug inverse Tohka and tell her everything is going to be okay.
Kurumi > Yoshino > Kotori > Origami > Kaguya = Yuzuru > Mana > Brown Origami > Gross-Chan > Shiori > Tohka > Miku > Reine > Ellen
>Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children, generally age 11 years or younger. As a medical diagnosis, specific criteria for the disorder extends the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13. A person who is diagnosed with pedophilia must be at least 16 years of age, but adolescents who are 16 years of age or older must be at least five years older than the prepubescent child before the attraction can be diagnosed as pedophilia.
>Pedophilia has a range of definitions, as found in psychiatry, psychology, the vernacular, and law enforcement. The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) defines it as a "disorder of adult personality and behaviour" in which there is a sexual preference for children of prepubertal or early pubertal age. It is termed pedophilic disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), and the manual defines it as a paraphilia in which adults or adolescents 16 years of age or older have intense and recurrent sexual urges towards and fantasies about prepubescent children that they have either acted on or which cause them distress or interpersonal difficulty.
Sorry I mean 14,which is of kotori's age.
Do you happened live in russia, anon?
I want to protect
>Kurumi at the top
This list is a good list, and I support it
>Kurumi that low
The quality of your taste has come into question anon
But anon, Kurumi is already the best. I do agree she would benefit from that though
High tier is acceptable, but putting her below Oragami? That's just poor form
Posting best and real imouto.
Fake imouto pls go
>That's just poor form
Obviously. I do hope we get Kurumi's arc sometime soon, too many unanswered questions
Not him, but I would fuck the shit out of her and Kurumi at the same time.
Full siblings can't even marry each other !!
Can you even imagine blushing flustered Kurumi? The doki-doki will shake the heavens
It's not that I dislike Origami, Its just that Kurumi is far superior, and also my waifu
But she's the best!
Hopefully everybody will be back for Vol11.
It's called Date-a-Live for a reason.
>growing hair instead of cutting it as character development
That didn't stop anything or anyone from making thread everyday last year at all. Tons of people left after DAL II this time and its widely regarded on /a/ as one of the worst shows of the year. Yet I guess without a second season announcement we would have never existed to begin with
What the fuck are you saying? Almost nobody wanted to discuss DAL after season 1. The threads used to be Kurumi threads with the "more like date a slut amirite" in the OP, then the game came and the discussion began.
>>Inverse Character Development...
It is utter madness indeed.
Dear god that episode was fucking terrible. AIC can't do filler for shit. What's especially appalling is that like 90% of Tohka haters cite that episode as the reason why they hate her.
>>Why is inverse Tohka so lewd?
Is 'Because of REASONS' not enough for you?
>Everyone fights over who's best girl is.
>Not wanting to bed them all, at the same time.
Origami alone will suck you dry, not to mention sex goddess.
The fuck, he didn't get transported to mass fire time
Chuunibyou is until you get rid of it, it just refers to the fact that it hits those around the time of the puberty
It may be in a volume and I forgot, but can anyone tell me why the fuck phantom turned a little tiny girl like Kotori into a spirit?? It doesn't make sense. With Miku she gave her power when Miku was on the brink of suicide and origami was barely alive when she turned her. So why kotori
>The memories of the past resurfaced and caused Origami to be absentminded for a moment but, she regained her composure immediately.
>This fire was caused by Itsuka Kotori----the Fire Spirit <Efreet>. She could not control her Spirit powers and the side-effects of that enormous Reiryoku caused her surroundings to turn into a sea of flames.
>Then it should be there.
>---The other Spirit that made Itsuka Kotori into Spirit.
>The same time Origami recognized that, she lowered her altitude and flew over the city.
>Sparks were scattering, smokes were fuming, and the view was extremely bad. But, Origami did not bother about and crawled her sights at the city.
>She then-----found them.
>She saw an elementary school boy and a young girl in a glowing Astral dress.
>Origami let out her voice in reflex.
>Yes. There was no mistake; it was Origami’s lover-Itsuka Shidou and his sister----Itsuka Kotori from 5 years ago.
>Tama-chan sent a dubious sight when she saw Shidou suddenly raise a stupid voice.
>But the current Shidou did not worry about that. There was only one point----the number printed in the memo was controlling Shidou’s consciousness.
>“So-Sorry, and…..Is that [Today]’s page?”
>“Yes…….? What are you saying? It’s obvious right?”
>After Tama-chan made a suspicious face, she opened her memo and showed Shidou.
>Shidou brought his face closer to the page and started at the date printed into the paper.
>“…….., 5 years ago….?”
>He mumbled blankly.
>Yes. The date written was from 5 years ago.
Shidou is in the past, 1 day(?) prior to the fire event.
OK all of you retards misread my post
There is no where on the book that says Shidoh has time traveled to the time where Kotori became spirit / Origami killed her parents / town was ablaze
And phantom gave a child this destructive power because of something like that? For fucks sake.
Thanks for the refresher though
THIS IS THE SUMMARY FOR THE 11th VOLUME
Clearly Phantom had other reasons for making Kotori a spirit but we don't know them yet. Obviously said reason has to do with Shidou, maybe she was expecting Kotori to protect Shidou?
That's asking a hell of a lot from a child. This is why I sometimes question phantoms mind-state. Obviously there are reasons but whoever they are they are incredibly reckless and have no care about collateral damage
