Shouko for the last few chapters has had to repent for her earlier choice that hurt someone and tried to quit in life after seeing the repercussions, by trying to get the friends together by herself. She's reached a breaking point however, so now both protagonists after having developed must come together, and bring this theater to a close together now that they are almost complete as people.

Next chapter they meet on the bridge. It's a bit strange if she has to rely on him here given his present condition and how he shouldn't be leaving, but this chapter only hammered it in that they need to come together here and combine their efforts. It's not over until they reach the answer, but not one of them alone could reach it. Now that they have both tasted a certain something they might be able to see eye to eye.

To an English speaker, the difference between a long and short vowel is a completely different sound. If anything, Shoko is more correct, because it will lead an English speaker to say her name correctly, whereas "Shouko" has an "ou", which has an ambiguous pronunciation in English.

If 100% of the population of the English speaking world had taken Japanese 101, you might have a leg to stand on. If every reader was learning Japanese and was taught methods of romanizing Japanese sounds, then maybe Shouko would make sense. As it is, Shoko actually makes much more sense.

The real problem with CR is the fact that they compress the manga down, thus ruining the great masters they get while refusing to offer a HQ alternative, and that their type setting and localizations are retarded.

The problem with compression is that Ooima's lines are so delicate that the artifacts wash away details and actually serve to blur the work. It looks fuzzy and washed out.
