I just can't stop laughing. How can one person be such a glorious asshole?
Don't worry, they get better.
Time for a rewatch, before FS/N airs
>Talking about rewatching F/Z
>Insists on played F/SN RN
Enjoy your dragons and dolphins
>tfw your post made it into the collage
Omedetouououou. Truly the pinnacle of an /a/utist's life accomplishments.
As noted before: RN actually introduces a plothole where Shirou mutilates his magical circuitry instead of just having sex with Saber thus overall decreasing their combat effectiveness comparatively.
Does /a/ still remember?
>Sits around bitching instead of killing the motherfuckers
You bring shame to the Lancer name Dare-mud
That's how everybody know you don't know whit about what you're talking about. Also, Realta Nua changes a ton of things in Heaven's Feel besides the sex scenes. They completely shift the character dynamic between a bunch of characters and make the story so PG it's actually sort of offensive.
Yeah no. If anything it fixed plotholes. One was why Rin didn't mention mana transfer earlier and how exactly few units of prana from sperm could allow Saber fight Zerker when she was literally running on fumes before
Did they actually ruin Heaven's Feel or are you just exaggerating? I never read anything but Saber's route in the original and downloaded RN a few days ago to slowly work my way through it before the adaption starts airing. About halfway through UBW now, should I just download the original and a save once I get to HF?
Evidently it was enough, since it worked in the original game.
I call bullsit that it was the smarter move for Shirou to mutilate himself when we have canon evidence that sex would have worked just fine.
Shitty quality, Shirou is a terrible magus, and his circuits weren't properly activated (which is why he turns his nerves into pseudo-circuits in order to use projection, until Rin realised what he was doing).
He was running the risk of killing himself if his concentration slipped by even a fraction during the hour it took him to set up, even when it does work its still excrutiatingly painful
Its the equivalent of ripping your intestines out to play jump-rope instead of going out and buying one.
>How come Saber is in such difficulty anyway?
His circuits aren't poor quality like some think, but they really can only do one thing, and that's "Make swords". In terms of doing other magic or focusing elsewhere that doesn't involve "Make swords" it's not the best, but they are the best at "make swords".
It wasn't a proper contract since he accidentally summoned her, using Iri's circle from Zero when she was healing by mistake.
On all accounts it was a strange summon, so they weren't actually connected like a master and servant should.
You may be right but at least the story itself is still good, even if the writing isn't like the original, while reading a poor translated sex scene when this one is useless to begin with is an utterly waste of time.
Doing reps right now, I can already somewhat read a moege. Gimme two years and I'll become an eroge expert
Poetic, but we know EMIYA even before dying went on to stop several catastrophes. It was his sense of selflessness and bipartisan approach to who he attacked that caused him to get lynched in the end.
There's two main reasons he's called No-Name in Extra
This is one
I actually ended up watching the dub of Fate/Zero to get ready for the new FSN. It was actually pretty good. The only voice I could complain about was Gilgamesh since his voice didn't carry as much allure and charisma that Tomokazu Seki had, but after a while he grew on me.
Proper Magi are meant to care. Tokiomi for example would execute Shirou on the spot if he ever discovered what he was. Rin tries her best to be a proper magus but she's awful at it.
>I sometimes wonder if anyone realy care what's heretical.
You're confused because pretty much every magus we see in this show is an atypical magus, like Rin or Shirou. Any normal magus would slap a sealing designation on him right there, or dissect him for personal gain
They had to introduce Kayneth into the series to show what real magus tend to be like here, since all we tend to see are atypical types. The Grail is stated to mostly pick heretical types, but no normal magus would allow something like Shirou to exist.
There's a part in Ataraxia where Shirou and Luvia are working together, and she's trying to keep his secret undercover from what I recall. Luvia is pretty much Rin, so she's a bit too kind as well, so she doesn't report him to the cops.
Pish tosh. And waste such an interesting sample? There are tests, procedures to be had, good man! Where is your empirical spirit of curiosity?
The autopsy can wait a few months.
>Tokiomi for example would execute Shirou on the spot if he ever discovered what he was.
Not before he strapped him down and had Rin and Sakura ride Shirou's jackhammer, just to get a chance at that sweet, sweet Sword Origin and UBW.
it says that none of the routes did he, but Also says in FATE he had the highest chance. I interpret that as meaning he didn't go full Archer but his similarities are there. Thus why Last Episode happens not being trapped as a Counter Guardian.
Here's the other one
RM's and Origins aren't genetic, There is no magical benefit breeding him. If he had True magic that would be a completely different story
Since Shirou was able to use Projection with some memories and other stuff to reproduce a flawed copy of the Jeweled Sword, could he reproduce it again now that he's seen the memories and presumably UBW is storing a copy of it?
Shirou + Aoi's womb doesn't do anything for Tokiomi specifically except NTR him, though.
At the very best, Shirou's children, with a crest containing his RM, might be able to do what Shirou could do with Archer's arm and draw out weapons from it via projection, though they certainly couldn't use UBW itself, it being Shirou's internal world, just like he couldn't use Archer's UBW because their worlds differed too much. There will be no line of children capable of putting UBW into play, only a crest containing UBW that might see limited use depending on the child and on how well it can be utilised.
Entirely possible, and dangerous. A crest can help maintain the body of a magus if they're badly wounded by activating itself, and if it worked like it does for Shirou then the person would probably start looking like pic related.
Yet another reason why it's dangerous and not something to play with.
That's not quite how RM work at all
Shirou couldn't even use Archer's RM despite being the same person when he had the arm, couldn't go through any weapons that Archer had seen himself yet Shirou had not. In the end even if they were closer than twin brothers and literally the same person, that was Archer's world, not Shirou's.
A reality marble is "Your world", other people can't use it, other people don't know how it works, because they are not you. If anyone could use a reality marble as long as you cut it out of the user and implant it into someone else you'd probably see it more often. If they cut part of it out and implanted it into a child, even if she was directly related to him there's still pretty much no chance she could use it.
It's not a blood related thing, it's the fact that she isn't him, it's not her world.
Well when he was a kid his childhood friend waifu died, then his mother figure waifu died, then his loyal operator waifu died, then his retard moe waifu died.
Yeah, the swords could break Rider's nail dagger so they aren't just for show.
Wait, so you want Tokiomi to produce one child who isn't the magical miracle that is Rin/Sakura, while Aoi NTRs him with Shirou to produce a miracle baby that will then breed with the inferior Tohsaka child and possibly not produce a miracle?
Why not just have Shirou bred to Rin or Sakura in the first place? The goal is to introduce better stock into your family line and improve it, so Aoi first gets you the miracle, then you get the RM crest out of Shirou and into the grandchild. You don't need him for anything else, you want him broken in the first place so he can GET his RM.
>that Assassin bitch's abs
Doesn't Rin's and Sakura's blood line contain both Ore Scales and The Zenjou Sorcery Trait? Technically Imaginary Numbers is a Numbers Sorcery Trait as well, So Sakura has 3 in her bloodline
Isn't the bloodline kind of broken?
Shirou's mom is clearly the better womb
Freak of nature reality marble users, and freak of nature human born with grail capabilities. Might not even have magus heritage, she just gives birth to freaks and miracles far more outstanding than Aoi.
Ore scales would have been inherited from one of the sisters from the 3rd war, the miracle womb that people are talking about is the Zenjou trait (according to F/Z materials see below), and give me a minute for the numbers
> Nevertheless, the blood flowing through their veins contains a very unique trait, which was noticed and pursued by Tohsaka Tokiomi.
> Fate/Zero material - Encyclopedia: Tohsaka Aoi [Person's name], p.100-101
Time moves forward. We are all getting older and are waifus stay the same age, soon they wouldnt be interested in you even if they were real. Life is just too cruel
Same here, I'll retract the "Imaginary Numbers is a Numbers Sorcery Trait" from >>112462874. But Still the bloodline should have 2 as mentioned >>112463064. Are they (Nasu) just glossing over the traits or something?
Maybe they are, maybe they aren't.
Still, combining those two is freaking dangerous. Two heirs, both whom get maximum potential and then can have their own two heirs at max potential.
Give it a few generations and they have an insane army.
I already insert into them as Shirou.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if both are already in effect, Rin and Sakura are both capable of being successors and they both should have Aoi's trait considering she is their mother. I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason they both weren't successors is because Tokiomi either had no idea he inherited the trait or he had no idea how to use it
It's the only image I will ever need, the image of perfection
I've always wanted to see Shirou just go AAAATATATATATATATTATATATAT and then his target explodes from swording internally.
"You are already saved."
I love it.

Been thinking of reading into Fate/SN Visual novel since i heard it presents alot more information and background for alot of things. I'm curious about something tough.
I read that it's also an eroge, i don't really care about that, but i know the idea is that sex or kissing is a way to tranfers out the equivalent of magic power between mages or servants? It kinda feels to me that was used as a excuse to add sex into the story, or does it actually make sense in the long run?
Also, after i'm done with it, should i read Fate zero? Or does the anime portray all that needs to be known about the 4th war?
Tantric rites and sex magic has loooong traditions. Google Aleister Crowley if you don't believe me.
Also, witches making pacts with demons and sleeping with satan for power is also an old myth.
The sex feels shoehorned in in a few parts. The Realta Nua version of the game takes out the sex, but replaces them with bullshit censored equivalents.
The last route, Heaven's Feel, is fucking stupid without the sex.
Using Sex as a method of transferring mana makes sense considering body fluids contain mana, Rin's sex scene makes less sense and HF is HF. So the sex makes perfect sense if anything the censored version in RN makes even less sense
F/Z anime does a good enough job as a adpation but i'd recommend reading the LNs at some point
pay better attention.
Mana transfer is already a Type-Moon concept (Hisui & Kohaku are synchronizers of this type).
The recharge was to prevent Saber from vanishing completely and leaving both squshy humans vulnerable to Berserker. The Tribhle bad end shows you specifically that Saber STILL has not enough prana to kill a fly. Best she can manage is a paltry defense.
And the cluster of prana is really only good for one or two low-power Excaliblasts. Thus Saber getting her shit wrecked by Gil twice before using Avalon+Excalibur melee style to grant her an edge. It' also why Shirou has to blow his last Command Seal to have her kill the grail. She didn't have the MP remaining on her own.
It's written to make sense, if that's what you're asking. Depends how you view it from there. I'd advise against skipping the scenes since they often help develop the characters further, especially those in the last route.
As far as F/Z goes, either's fine. Ideally both. The adaption cuts a couple scenes from the LN, but of course it's also animated with pretty good production values. It's certainly an entertaining watch.
Rin was the one that had to make both sex rituals work. In her own case, she had to essentially write permissions for Shirou to access her soul's circulatory system, and outright stated that sex was the fastest way. Keep in mind the amount of time she poked and proded at Shirou's Artificial Phantasm in Heaven's Feel.
Thanks, i'll give it a shot. So this Realta nua thing is like a censored version? If so i'll look for the version without it. Also
are the scenes voiced?.
The Realta Nua was a PSP port that added voices, new CGs and new music, and removed the sex scenes. You can find versions of the patch for PC that keep all the new stuff it adds while leaving the sex scenes in, though naturally they aren't voiced.
>It kinda feels to me that was used as a excuse to add sex into the story, or does it actually make sense in the long run?
Semen used for rituals and containing mana is a pretty ancient idea in a way, goes back some centuries. It's accurate to certain studies of magic.
>Q: In your original manuscript, does Shinji become a better person after he survives Rin’s route? And does have the potential to find happiness...?
>A: No fundamental changes, but since a great burden was lifted off his back (his obsession with sorcery), he'll probably be able to enjoy life as a fussy, loudmouthed, smarter-than-average, troublesome person.
Everyone in TM has those eyes, they're just meant to convey hostility, killing intent or a sort of intense gaze.
It's the PS2 version.
It's not censored. There's no TLs for the alternate scenes to the ero, as far as I know. Just, you can have them auto-skip or something in some patches. A majority of the sex scenes are shoe-horned and probably the only one worth reading would be Saber's first scene (the threesome), and then perhaps Sakura's second and final (third) scenes. The others don't give any plot or character development at all, both of Rin's scenes in particular are pretty pointless, other than Tohsaka's_Anus and Jackhammer.jpg. You really don't miss anything by skipping them.
Also, personally, I think Saber's 2nd scene is completely retarded, mostly in its execution.
>It's the PS2 version.
Right, yeah. I always forget which Playstation console has which port of which game.
Nasu is the type where, it's accurate, but we know he's taking advantage of the fact that it "sorta happened" to use it how he needs it to work at times.
When it comes to servants they tend to think of the character first rather than the history at times. How can it work for them, rather than "Is it 100% accurate?". Although it was technically Urobuchi who said that one. If he wants to work a certain way, he'll get it to work that way. Like how Elizabeth in Extra is a virgin for plot reasons, so he just says "Well she was summoned at her peak, which was back when she was a virgin".
Everything he does has some reality or actuality to it, the servant history does have some basis for what he says no matter where he goes with it most of the time so it's "accurate", but he'll use it how he wants.
>mfw the deen movie didn't animate that scene
Into the trash.
With the exception of his downward spiral over his inferiority complex that led to him raping Sakura, being willing to kill his entire school, ect, Shinji was never really a bad person. He is just normally a conceited jerk,
Probably because that movie was meant as fanservice for people who have already read the route and wanted the highlights from it?
I got Saber x Berserker and Shirou x Archer and that's all I wanted.
Although the final fight was shit.
>Friend gets interested in fate/zero because I'm talking about it with another friend
>Watches it first
>Later all the highlight clips of UBW and reads the wiki in preparation for FSN anime
Or does this make him a tertiary
Secondary is someone who reads secondary material to begin with, and never reads anything beyond that, while acting smug about it and asking to be hand-fed the answers for other shit when it's right there in the original material.
Mostly just the first two points really, someone who starts with secondary material and never reads beyond that. You aren't a secondary if you start out with something secondary, and then read everything you can with the original and verse yourself with it by most definitions. Long as you aren't being a dick about it there's nothing wrong trying to learn more and correct yourself.
Anyone that reads a wiki for the material and acts like an expert sounds like more of a tertiary for the most part. It makes you one of the worst type of posters if you come into a conversation like you know shit.
>Mom hates all anime for some retarded reason
>Dad thinks its for faggots and watches the world tournament of every major sport simply to talk about it with coworkers
They knew the idea, but they couldn't adapt it properly to an animated medium for a multitude of reasons.
I disagree. I enjoyed both fights and some of the scenes.
I don't think it failed as fanservice. It made a decent hit at the box office and recouped its costs.
It's all your fault. Start them out with F/SN you retard.
It is possible though, and common even for this fanbase, for someone to read the original work after watching F/Z and continue to act like a secondary as they didn't understand anything.
>or that Mind of Steel is best end?
I still can't believe just how many people think MoS is anything other than a bad end and somehow miss the entire point of both Heaven's Feel as a route and Shirou as a character.
Well the same is happenign when he doesn't kill her.
I still can't get over the stupidity and delusion of that anon.
What a faggot.
This is what a real hero does after killing himself
Yeah, but going MoS has him killing constantly. Sakura isn't special in that regard, he hates killing anybody.
Also, to any delusional niggas who think Fate or UBW Shirou would go Mind of Steel.
Yes, there are clearly two kinds of Lancers.
I actually like Kerry's ideals too, particularly why he thinks like that in the first place. I think he's an incredibly interesting character, but the works highlight how flawed his dream is and MoS itself is written off clearly as a bad end.
Shirou's ideals in UBW are probably the best execution of Kerry's ideals. He sees the beauty in wanting to save everyone, but not to the point of compromising himself and those he cares about.
He took the whole effect of the Lancer curse after fighting Karna, his Master used command spells to force him into use his vampire NP and then fuse with him. He also cried a lot during all of it.
And at last, he was exorcised by Shirou.
>Secondary is someone who reads secondary material to begin with, and never reads anything beyond that
That's not what a secondary is at all. A secondary is a secondary fan, a fan of the fandom rather than the original work. The term is only loosely applied in the case of anime-only Fate fans in the sense that they don't actually care enough about Fate to read the source material and only want to watch the anime to be apart of a fad, so they are like secondaries in that sense.
I've been showing the fate series to my imouto. She was like 12 when f/z was airing. We were watching Illya together too, but then everyone started kissing each other and I had to use my better judgement.
Only Nasuverse I have exposed my 11 year old imouto to was Carnival Phantasm. She found the VN on my PC herself and tried reading it. Got through the intro (up to day 3?) and stopped.
>why they had to depict him as a woman?
You might be asking this about the wrong franchise. Pic related, it's the King of Knights.
There's also this version of Enkidu aka borwnkidu
He's not a women, he's a homunculus built by the divine types as described in the story.
he has no gender as directly stated, he's a shapeshifter that can become anything near instantly.
The reason for the green haired form is because he stole the form of a prostitute when he first went to go meet Gilgamesh, and took an interest in that form since it's the first one he met Gilgamesh with.
Nothing says he has all the gender bits down correctly, it might be more of an outward shift, or if he studied it enough.
It's not that people have to like Nasu's Enkidu or that he has to stay in one form
However Brownkidu is as fanon as it gets, it's not "There's another version, yo", rather that's entirely a fan creation.
>Why didn't he just turn himself into a mirror?
I like your thinking
Even in the myth he wore her clothes when he went to meet Gilgamesh(take that to mean his figure was similar enough if you want), and she cleaned him up to make him seem more human
Nasu just took it a bit further with the method he used to become cleaned up.
I like Mind of Steel
Not for Shitrou or Sakura or HF in general, just for based Kotomine
>Is this a foreshadowing of how absolutely dogshit threads when the anime airs will be
Oh my god. It is, isn't it?
Strongest class is noted to be Archer, but not for a "Because his NP is..." reason like some think. It's because he always solved his labors with intelligence and skill, and Independent Action and Archer skills work best for this method.
MoS = A couple lines from Kotomine at best
Rest of the route = Kotomine finds his soul mate, and the end up fisting each other in front of the devil.
If you want Kotomine, the choice seems clear.
>Rest of the route = Kotomine finds his soul mate
I was glancing through the thread and I started wondering how you people got so well versed in the magic systems of the Nasuverse? I've gone through all of the main installments of Fate, Tsukihime, and Kara no Kyoukai, a decent chunk of the spinoffs, and I'm learning Moon for Fate/Extra CCC and Mahoyo, yet I just barely have a basic knowledge how Magic works in TYPE-MOON.
Is there something I'm missing that fills in all the blanks or have I already read it and I'm just being a retard?
Question time with Nasu, theres a PDF of a TYPE-MOON encylopedia that i dont have the link too, someone should have it if you ask, and loads of other small stuff that he releases, half of which is untranslated
I'm pretty sure Fate goes pretty in-depth into most of it. There are translated portions of some of the material books, but they don't cover much that hasn't already been elaborated on. I would say you just forgot some of the infodumps.
Okay, so I'm reading FHA and I'm beginning to understand why mirror moon didn't translate it. It's nothing but slice of life with irrelevant characters and Shirou having spooky spooky feelings and ignoring obviously distressing signs.
Not all RMs function that way; I seem to remember that Nrvnqsr didn't develop his on his own but was somehow given it by a past Roa. On the other hand, Roa may have just taught him the method of absorbing beasts into his body and Nrvnqsr turned it into a full-fledged RM himself, I'd have to reread Tsukihime to make sure of what exactly was said when it covered that stuff.
> loli Rin's arms
> There's no TLs for the alternate scenes to the ero, as far as I know.
Really? So we can't read about how Saber's no-circuits-needed dragon core works?
And this is why Mind of Steel is a bad end. Not killing Sakura may have been a betrayal of Shirou's ideal, but killing Sakura would also have been.
> Yellow snow
>And this is why Mind of Steel is a bad end. Not killing Sakura may have been a betrayal of Shirou's ideal, but killing Sakura would also have been.
And this is why UBW is a better route.
And you also get to visit London.
>Not killing Sakura may have been a betrayal of Shirou's ideal, but killing Sakura would also have been.
Not killing Sakura that point wasn't "Fifty people are immediately going to die" in that sense, he didn't even know she was Shadow. He just thought "Well maybe Zouken can control her to do something and people might get hurt, I can't take that, it's easier to kill her".
If he doesn't kill Sakura he protects her, and tries to save the town as well, thus trying to save everyone even if Ideals have to die in the process because his ideals don't want him to take chances like that, he has to end problems quickly. Trying to save everyone is much closer to his ideals than "Kill anyone who gets in the way at the first chance you get, and maybe save the rest".
If you protect ideals then all you can save is ideals in the end, but if you try to save people instead, you'll save people.
I think this is the first time I've heard someone call HA shit. Plenty of time I've seen people arguing about it's relevance in canon but this is the first time I've heard someone talk it down, weird.
Goof enough reason. Power trough, then. Not all of it is quite bad, there are some interesting insights about some characters here and there. Like Sakura talking about the time Rin gave her the ribbon she always wears or Taiga and Shirou talking about Kerry.
I see. Does anyone have it?
Much appreciated. The Theory of Magic section sounds like what I'd be looking for though and it looks like its not translated.
Do you happen to have a link to that?
I might have, yeah.
>Then how did Lancelot manage to bust up his Vimana and survive?
Lancelot is pretty strong. It's mentions that Viamma wasn't destroyed in the novel, just taken out of the action
Lancelot is pretty lucky and strong to survive repeatedly against a lot of things
>thosaka goes from bitch to horny bisexual slut in three secounds flat
these sex scenes are pure comedy gold.
Check the unsorted contents pages, though the thing about elephants is a joke.
I'm disappointed that the thing about Sakura Saber's overcoat giving a tuberculosis nerf to any enemy that touched it was also a joke. It sounded pretty neat given Sakura Saber's identity.
What does /a/ think of allies of justice?
>If you protect ideals then all you can save is ideals in the end, but if you try to save people instead, you'll save people.
But in HF Shirou does neither. He abandons his ideal and condemns innocent people to death just for the sake of saving Sakura.
He doesn't protect ideals, he abandons ideals in order to save people, namely Sakura, but even Kotomine says he was trying to have it both ways by also patrolling the town every night and protecting people from Shadow.
He chose to protect people, and indeed Sakura and people were saved.
In MoS he protected ideals over people, and that's all he had in the end. In neither ending does it say that the result was quite right in some ways, but it's more towards what he was geared towards in each.
They're fine, once they learn to be realistic.
I love they presented no middle-ground at all. You either be a ridiculously naive idealist, or a grim dark monster.
God forbid there be a middle-ground where you learn to temper wanting to do good with making some hard choices.
All right, I watched Fate/Zero and read the three routes of Stay Night
What's next? There's other stories from what I gather, apocrypha and extra I think.
You're off to a good start
This has it in detail but yes, Apocrypha is a LN series and Extra is a game. strange fake is also a LN by the guy who wrote Baccano.
>He doesn't protect ideals, he abandons ideals in order to save people, namely Sakura,
Then he’s not saving “people” he’s saving “a person.”
>He chose to protect people, and indeed Sakura and people were saved.
He didn't WANT innocents to die but he still places Sakura over them. When he's holding the knife over her as far as he knows if he doesn't go through then many innocent people will die in a matter of hours. He still doesn't go through with it. The fact that people didn't actually die is irrelevant, because Shirou was willing to let them die anyway.
>Then he’s not saving “people” he’s saving “a person.”
Wrong, he saved the town and world from Angya Manyu, people were saved all over the place. Potentially billions were saved at most.
>The fact that people didn't actually die is irrelevant, because Shirou was willing to let them die anyway.
He just chose to believe in Sakura that night, and take a chance with her, because he literally couldn't kill her anymore. Still he believed she wouldn't do it.
>Even when your ideal is clearly wrong
I can't even fathom how warped someone would have to be to say this with a straight face.
What kind of terrible person are you in real life?
Thank you kind anon. I'll do the tiger dojos first, I didn't know going through the bad ends had some use.
The flaw in Kerry's ideals is that saving lives was just a numbers game for him; F/Z's ending pounded out how painfully dumb that idea is, and in the end Kerry lost everything for it and was left a broken man.
Archer's problem was that he neglected himself to follow his ideals; he was selfless to the point of where it caused his own death, ultimately created his own personal hell by becoming a counter guardian.
UBW was all about Shirou learning to tone that shit down and don't go full retard. Care for others, but don't forget yourself and your loved ones.
Agreed. I would even go so far as to say
Dub saber was far better.
He's not so cured that he cares about himself at all, as UBW isn't called an answer route yet.
Rather he left it up to Rin at present, to hopefully steer him in the right direction if he should go off the rails a bit. HF shows an offhand way he can care about himself, as Sakura needs him alive to function, and thus he needs to come back home alive each time. UBW though it'll still take some time and effort to drill something in.
>F/Z's ending pounded out how painfully dumb that idea is, and in the end Kerry lost everything for it and was left a broken man.
What the hell was he supposed to do? Accept the grail and kill off billions just so he could be with his family? Kerry may have done some dumb things in his life but the end of F/Z was one of the few times he was unquestionably in the right. Just because it was hard for him doesn't mean it wasn't the right decision.
>as UBW isn't called an answer route yet
>"As the theme of Fate/stay night, if we assume the Saber route to be posing a question, the Rin route is the answer and the Sakura route is a practical application."
>The Rin route is the answer
I'm not even sure if this is the right one, but I'm posting it
>UBW was all about Shirou learning to tone that shit down and don't go full retard. Care for others, but don't forget yourself and your loved ones.
And also learning to NEVER EVER become a Counter Guardian. EVER.
But anon, don't you know? Living for the sake of others and trying to help people you don't even know is a dumb idea. Haven't you ever noticed how charity workers are some of the most miserable people around?
Know what i liked about Fate/Zero?
He wasnt a total asshole like he normally is. Dude respected the fuck out of Rider, so much to the point he used Ea on him. Also he fucking spared Waver becuase Waver was loyal as fuck. How Based do you have to be? Also this nigga brought his own wine and shared it.
Waver was lucky as shit. If he still had the Command Seals, he'd be dead. If he didn't make eye contact, dead. Whimpered like a bitch? Oh he'd be so dead. He did everything just right.
>Sola-Ui rubbing up against Ryuunosuke
My day is made, thanks.
I stopped paying attention to FATE for a while honestly. I personally with Type-Moon would give Tsukihime more attention. I want more Carnival or a Melty Blood Anime.
Kiritsugu's dream wasn't wrong. What was wrong is that he's a total asshole but still the story literally begs you to feel bad for him and sympathize with him. The guy's a horrible person but they want to paint him as this tragic figure that nobody understands, but in the end he does a lot of shitty things to the people around him, he knows what's he's doing but makes up shitty excuses to make himself feel better about it, and sorry but some unrealistic dream of world peace won't compensate for that. By the time the scene with happy father's day I just wanted to bang his head against the fucking wall, seriously. He has a shitty personality, and I can't feel bad for someone who deludes themselves into being a hero when he does more harm than good. Also, I hated how he cheated on Irisviel even though she stayed faithful to him all the way through, until the end. What a piece of trash.
And I would be completely okay with Kiritsugu being the way he is if it wasn't because they make up the most stupid scenes just to beg for sympathy and understanding of the audience. When he kills his father was one of the stupidest ones: a kid that barely has any understanding of the world, of the meaning of ideals and morals, cold-heartedly kill his father because some stranger he met a couple of minutes ago told him to. And it wasn't even his dad's fault, it was his retarded assistant who couldn't wait for the experiment's results. It's like everyone suddenly turns into a retard just for the sake of making the perfect circumstances to make Kerry cry and, maybe, awake some feelings in the viewer. It's just so pathetic how many of these scenes throw common sense out of the window just to show how TRAGIC and PAINFUL is Kiritsugu's life. I know Urobuchi has a boner for breaking down idealistic characters but Kiritsugu in particular was so poorly done, I couldn't take him seriously.
Nothing wrong with being an asshole, nothing wrong with helping people.
As for the dream, to save everyone you need to have a massive threat to everyone first.
World peace is just a stupid idea, hopefully unreachable, the only people who can live in a world with only happiness are broken insane people like Shirou and even then I doubt it.
Conflicts help us to evolve and get stronger, and to live, and happiness loses it's value without other components.
As for asshole ways, he simply acted like it's not him and then he broke from all the strain of his totalitarian utilitarian approach and breaking illusions.
He's not horrible, he's unlucky and horribly stupid.
I dont care about Four Wheels, but why he had to kill the woman too
>he's an excellent and adaptable genre writer
>haha i killed another one
>look at how dark and edgy i am
I think zouken would have been targeted by the association if they knew the extent of his vampire, as thats one thing they usually dont tolerate.
the problem with the church and the association is they will overlook pretty much anything if your powerful enough or do want or are useful to them. otherwise your screwed.
Guy you replied to, I actually quite like Urobutcher.
How accessible is Fate/Zero to people who haven't read FSN?
It's entirely UBW
Not Avalon at all
Though it's a double edged sword, as shown in HF, when he had no connection to Avalon.
Normally the blades disappear after a bit, but since Archer's arm was constantly causing damage to his body they kept trying to piece it back together poorly
It's both. UBW swords him, but Avalon also helps it to function in that fashion and brings him back a couple of times. Same way that Kerry could use his Time Alter bounded field at double-power with Avalon taking the weight of the injuries, normally enough to shatter bones and crush organs.
Just watched a few episodes of fate/zero, there's something I don't get.
If Kirei Kotomine has several of assassin or whatever, why is he allowed to use that church thing, if it's only for defeated masters, when he clearly has more of them?
Reading the FAQs in complete material.
>Q: Caster summoned Kojirou as an irregular Master, but was there a person who would have summoned Assassin as a regular Master (someone with the sign of the bruise)? Or was that Zouken?
>A: Caster found him before he could do the summoning....
Is this implying that Medea found Zouken and did something to him before he could summon True Assassin in the Fate and UBW routes? Or am I reading it wrong?
>If Kirei Kotomine has several of assassin or whatever, why is he allowed to use that church thing, if it's only for defeated masters, when he clearly has more of them?
The Church and Tokiomi were in cahoots. The entire point was to let everybody think Assassin was defeated, which would allow it to move about unhindered and feed information to Kirei, who could then feed information to Tokiomi, and Assassin would thus still serve as a means of ascertaining strengths and weaknesses of the other servants.
