Captain Earth discussion.
Some Evangelion-Captain Earth parallels and what makes the two shows different
Regular High School Kid Protagonist; parent died so he could have a future
Perky Redhead Prodigy with Parental Issues and Hair Decs
Clone Alien pal who is actually one of the alien enemies
Homunculus girl that is integral to the plot and has a strange relationship with the hero
Government Conspiracy to manipulate the end of the world to rule what's left
Exhausted, underfunded alien fighting organization
Robots that require a degree of "realism" in all the ceremony and difficulty that is required to get them to work; alien tech plays a part
Sentient AI with a libido
Aliens reaching a certain point=annihilation of mankind
Rainbow light beams and shields
I think what makes the two shows really different despite the above is that in Evangelion, the narrative was really centered around NERV and the pilots. Tokyo-3 was incredibly lifeless. There were people, but it always felt empty, you sort of felt that the protagonists were in this isolated and nigh-claustrophobic outpost and wondered why they would fight for a world they don't seem to be a part of. In Captain Earth, through the Designer Children arcs, you get to see more of the world that GLOBE is defending, but you also see that it's not without its darker aspects and you begin to wonder if it's actually worth saving.
Then there's the sex; phallic imagery and eroticism are big parts in their aesthetics. In Evangelion, it's all very impotent and frustrated. People talk about sex and want to have sex, but they can't (or if they can, it's not the kind they want). The point of the series is to stop these aliens from banging the only female among them to end the world. There's this sense of repression and a lack of fulfillment, like everyone's been castrated and struggling with hormone imbalance. In Captain Earth, the aliens keep making out with one another, women own their sexuality instead of fear it, and even the pretty boys are macho.
Why is Hana's engine orange when those are Akari's colors?
Hana is pink. Unless Akari pilots the Meteor Engine in the final while Hana is the damsel in distress/pilots the Blume.
Well if how Teppei did it is of any indication, their only hope is to grab an ego block and somehow get another Kiltgang to take a shot at it. This will however, in theory, eventually leave them with a single opponent that they cannot permanently defeat.
I wonder why her ego block is located in crotch
5 minutes wasted on two garbage transformation scenes, Jesus christ.
The transformation sequences are shitty and long. Even one is too much. I was hoping they'd have an abbreviated version at some point just because of how long they are but nope.
What the fuck is wrong with you people? By far the best thing to happen this episode was the fucking pool with a window into space as its floor.
I loved how that scene was basically "enough plot for now, let's have some nice views of Hana body in a swimpool.
the beginning of the episode was "hur, hur, Salty Dog as evil as usual, let's
Oh man. This was way too hilarious.
It's because Malkin is the sluttiest.
>Daichi firing his huge cannon into her ego crotch
Malkin truly is the biggest slut in the galaxy.
Hana service keeps me going.
>dat threesome set up
Can this computer get anymore based? Damn.
>Watching /m/ shows and complaining about the best parts
Baby don't hurt me
It took far too long to get going, if this was a 50 episode series it would be expected but at 25 episodes it felt like it was padding and stretching a relatively simple plot into much longer than it needed to be. Also the characters are just not interesting nor engaging particularly Hana. I still like this show and I think it's an improvement over Star Driver but I can see why it didn't perform well.
After 17 episodes, this guy finally realized this.
Freaking Puck, that was badass. I hope he has a good time before his inevitable defeat by the protags.
I hope he doesn't get a gay ending, but I imagine that he'll probably get killed somehow.
Bonus points if his computer body is destroyed but he survives in that human body.
Feel sorry for these characters. They are right about everything, but retarded anime logic has to paint them in a bad light so the stupid ass kid main characters are "right"
I want to do unspeakable things to Aiatar.
Awww, come on Ando. No need to be
Is it just me, or are there no breather episodes in this show? Every episode seems to feed into the overarching plot and all of them have something deeply significant and/or horrendous happening. Makes it feel like a very dense series.
I was going to disagree with you but after thinking about it a bit I guess you're right. The rote Kiltgang of the week thing and the seemingly endless brooding of the various factions makes it feel very slow, but on the other hand, yeah, there's always something nontrivial happening.
It's not flying along at breakneck pace or anything, but it's always moving forward. Dense is a good word for it.
Hey guys, you know how the Earth Engine's been jobbing every time it sorties?
I have a feeling it's because Daichi's using the controls to pilot.
Hear me out for a sec.
Remember when he was firing the livlaster at the shooting range and said it felt more natural than just firing the gun?
I bet that he'll discover he can control the Earth Engine by holding onto the Livlaster instead of the controls, and as a result his piloting gets better.
I think even the opening credits imply this, as he's gripping the Livlaster instead of the controls as the Earth Engine does that big punch at the end.
Game over, mate. Game over.
This slut needs some good porn.
It's nothing spectacular. It's a direct fire support vehicle using a CV90 chassis and Cockerill 120mm turret with the black materials added to reduce its RCS and IR profile.
It's one of a number of proposals to supplement Leopard 2s by giving organic support to mechanised elements leaving the tanks for the armour divisions.
So is the first ED single not out yet or does no one even care enough to buy/upload it?
Left or right?
Puck is going to get murdered by the secretary for flirting with that other girl.
He may be a genius AI who can predict almost anything, but the one thing that lies outside his computational power is how bitches be cray
his dick will be his downfall
Of course, he's the boss.
>his dick will be his downfall
Just like poetry
Hana's ass was amazing this episode.
Left or right?
I don't mind transformation scenes but these are fucking boring, Please /m/ not everyone watches mech shows to see a robot come together.
JC staff loves that pool
>I'll be free tonight
Right in front of her too. Pretty much all but confirms that it won't be the Midsummer Knights that kill him but his own secretary
I'm still catching up with last season, but is this lady in charge of the global defense organization that is actually worth a damn and doesn't have to send a bunch of kids to do everything?
>Please /m/ not everyone watches mech shows to see a robot come together.
I don't even frequent /m/ nor my favorite genre is mecha and I still enjoy those awesome looking sequences. You can stick your opinion up your ass.
Everything being hand animated makes me respect it a bit more. Like, Nobunaga the Fool was terrible while the animation was also bad along with CG mechs. This is mediocre, but the animation is fantastic and it all looks really nice. It's a shame, really. I want to like it, but it just isn't doing much for me. I like it more than I did at the beginning though, I just wish it were more interesting.

Are you me?
But yeah, the show had a lot of cool things going for it, yet they seem to have no urgency to get the plot going.
Can we all agree that Idol is best Planetary Gear?
Its ironic. When the early episodes weren't really keeping me interested, the OP at least got me in the right mood to get through them. Now that things HAVE gotten more interesting, the OP gets me in the right mood to go to fucking sleep. Thanks as always, Bones.
Oh Magic Conch, will something happen this week in Captain Earth?
The only reason I kept watching this was for the mecha fights, but now I also want to see Puck's harem shenanigans.
I hope puck get its brain electrocuted and the real stone cold owner of that body returns.
Looks like ukraine stealth tank got their first customer, salty dog.
>every day another secretary Puck has banged gets on board the elevator
>final episode he's just in the middle of an orgy of christmas cakes riding the elevator up and down
>Moco is there, too
>steals a body
>bangs secretary so she stops snooping
>discovers he really likes sex
>fucks bitches left and right
The best. I'll laugh if he ends up abandoning world conquest or whatever to build his harem, or if he ends up getting knifed by some jealous whore.
Not really. If I remember correctly (I probably don't) Macbeth gets told a prophecy about how he'll be king if he kills the current king. He the current king is his friend or brother or something and he doesn't want to do it, but he tells his wife. She gets greedy over the idea of being queen and convinces him to do it. Then through a series of unfortunate events they both die shortly after he gets the crown, I think.
If someone knows what really happens in Macbeth feel free to correct this.
I gave up on this show a few weeks ago now. I just gave up on trying to make sense of the plot and all the concepts they bring up.
I think Puck was last straw. Aside from dashing my hopes that Macbeth guy would actually do something important (funny how he was JUST NOW realizing that the use of the goodfellows corresponded with Kiltgang attacks), Puck just makes no fucking sense as a character. Why is an AI such a lunatic? How the hell does it sense things in a human body when it has no programming to handle that kind of input?
SOMEONE FIND A STAND YOU CAN TAKE HANA'S DRESS OFF OF
