Thanks for the good Sailor Moon raws, BH.
In all the fandom for all the lesbians in Sailor Moon, how come I've never seen anything devoted to these two? Not only were there two hugs and two "oneesama daisuki!"s, but their last scene ends with a heart wipe. That's pretty gay even by Ikuhara's usual standard.
>They Were 11 being added to the rec chart means a lot more people will watch it now
Or at least I hope so/
Moto is great, but I like the movie, and besides, it was such an exact adaptation of the story that I don't see that there's much to complain about.
I guess everyone is watching shows with fabulous events.
I'm hoping the same thing for Key The Metal Idol.
I don't know, just started watching ZZ within the last day or so. Though I've heard the tone changes quite in ZZ, much more lighthearted than Zeta.
You think there's BDs out there?
I seriously doubt it, but a fresh rip from just the old Japanese DVDs would probably be a significant improvement.
It's Mashmyre Cello, the biggest white knight in U.C..
Shame most of his screentime is during the happy-go-lucky early half of ZZ.
It's the beginning that is massive change of tone. Once they are off shangri-la things pick up.
Ah alright, I don't really mind it considering how poorly Zeta ended, kinda of a downer.
Tokimeki Tonight is never going to get fully subbed, is it? What a fucking bummer.
>aside from rape, of course.
But girls raping girls is its own form of love!
At least ED isn't as bad as the NA DVDs.
Oh wow, that's a pretty fair difference in color.
Shit got weird near the end, loved it
Hardly. The only difference is Mawaru kept the grain, which really doesn't make it look much better. Re-Calium also sharpened the really soft line art without overshooting, which is a plus.
I completely disagree. The sharpening on the ReCallium looks atrocious. I can spot way more artifacts and it just looks gross. The soft look and grain on the Mawaru is far better to me.
The fact they actually dubbed all the songs is pretty impressive, don't think I've heard a dubbed OP/ED in some time unless it's something like a 4kids release.
I'm downloading it! Thanks Bunny Hat.
I hope I won't be disappointed. I also downloaded subs from the russian site that was posted on an old SM thread, I wish there'll not be timing error.
I finished Armitage III yesterday. The ending felt a bit rushed, too bad, I liked it a lot until then.
Oh shit. Didn't even mean to post the dub. I forgot ED defaults to the dub and I don't know how to select a different language track for webms.
I really like Iwao Junko's version
But yes, I do think it is a good thing for a dub to actually translate the songs if they're important to the plot. Doing OP/ED, eh, it's risky and in this day and age not much worth it. But I do like some, like Key's.
>Turned to ABC bubble gum for no reason
the fuck? That would have turned me up as a kid.
I remember some shit when I was a kid. My father said he liked it. I think it was G-force or something. Well, an episode has these rings that basically suffocated people around their necks. That ate my up for days. Reminds me of another time I got bothered from a cartoon where there was these people stuck in white goop and they were begging for help. I don't remember the cartoon, though.
Why doesn't anyone close their fucking hatch?
Eh. While Re-Calium's release did have some awful haloing in certain frames (http://compare.bakashots.me/compare.php?setId=720&comparisonId=5133&imageNum=1), I generally like the reduced grain and noise around the edges. Re-Calium should've turned down the sharpening or masked a bit better, but their grain and noise removal without smoothing details was pretty spot on. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
But they would be watching the dub anyway if they heard the dubbed OP/ED, wouldn't they?
I have to say some of this shit is pretty funny.
Is Kamille just
like a vegetable from now on?
Do you really want to know? This is spoiler territory.
He gets a little better, but he never fully recovers or anything like that in the series. However, it's strongly implied that he'll eventually get better and have fun with Fa.
I think I'll just wait and see, best not to spoiler myself since I'm going to dig through quite a bit of it in the next couple days.
I dunno why but they did. One Piece fans are retarded and want everything to be pure Japanese.
They still dub the DBZ songs because there are lots of DBZ fans that hate Japanese because they are also retarded.
They got more negative responses then positive on the OPs. They were only originally dubbing the OPs because they wanted to get it on television, because they thought dubbing it in English would be less jarring (and that they might get the DBZ fanbase that hates Japanese that's worth so much money to them).
Probably still has better quality than my EoE DVD from Manga.
Just started watching Gunbuster. I laughed out loud when Kashiwara/Otawa appeared menacingly behind the palm tree.
I just watched Junkers Come Here.
It wasn't quite Only Yesterday but I liked it.
The backgrounds could have fooled me though.
Dragon Half is the same way except it only got two. Watch it and know our pain.
Not the guy you're responding to, but although I agree with you remember that the industry in the 70-90 wasn't as big as it is now, there were only big studios instead of hundreds of them so now we have a significant difference in numbers but the ratio is more or less the same.
It was also a different time, back then anime were reaching the peak as a medium, so they were more interested in exploring new grounds rather than competing on who makes the most smelly shit like they do it now.
Don't get me wrong, there are still good anime now, but I feel that a lot of the "naivety" is lost to these days, and the mediocre crap is much more now. Back then I could consider myself lucky to not miss an episode of a series on TV, now it feels like I have to dodge dog turds on dirty sidewalks.
I was also younger back then, so I have my nostalgia goggles on, don't take me too seriously.
Is that Shadow Skill?
I remember the promo art for it with the shadow hand holding up the sister's tit pretty nearly made my mother have an embolism when she saw it in one of my Animericas.
>So how do you like my swimming?
That fucking episode.
I remember that by the time I watched that episode I too used to go to the swimming pool regularly, I was a teen back then but damn it was hard to not to think about it the first week after watching it.
Just watched Robot Carnival.
>RISING SUN TIER
A Tale of Two Robots
Star Light Angel
OP & ED
As a sidenote, Daisuke Namikawa played one of the head-kicking kids in Presence.
Does Seigfried have autism or it just QUALITY facial animation?
I mean, at least the titular explorer woman is pretty hot.
