Actually the nose isn't even what I'd call Tumblr nose. Looks like just the standard saturation shading used on the rest of the body since the bottom of the nose is going to be farthest from the light source anyway. It's not like the entirety of the nose is red, just the part where you'd expect there to be shadowing. The only reason you don't see it on most Jojo artwork is because anime noses don't have the definition for it. Take this from an actual drawfag for these threads.

Joseph sounds weird often because he puts all his inflection in the wrong places. Also his voice isn't deep or gravel-ly enough. Aside from that he's probably the best, I'd say 8/10. Dio is also surprisingly good. The rest are rather mediocre.

While I agree with your basic sentiment. I think it's worth noting that the artstyle of parts 1 and 2 are notably different. Faces in particular were presented very differently; Jonathan has a sort of baby-faced quality in the comic that I think was lost in the adaptation.

No. The Joestar family's stands are derived from DIO's one grand stand. Each of their stands took an aspect of The World, modified it and amplified it into their own stand. Hermit purple is a branch of The World's primitive tracking abilities. Crazy Diamond was taken from Dio's primitive healing abilities, etc.

Jotaro just got the luck of the draw and his stand derived its ability from The World's timestop.

It's what happens when people take something they learned in art school a bit too far. At first, the exaggeration was mostly stylistic, and often you could see it done in older cartoons. They've adopted it and since tumblr is awful, edgy teenagers on 4chan need to hate them even if they're basing what they're doing at least partially on reality or something that has been perfectly acceptable prior.

It felt like an asspull excuse for a sad ending. Dio somehow survives a face full of Ripple, his severed head doesn't splatter all over the ground like a watermelon, his magic chinese zombie somehow manages to find him before the sun comes up, then he kills Jonathan with magic eye lasers out of nowhere because Jonathan is standing perfectly still for five minutes, not reacting at all to the fact that there are hundreds of zombies on board the ship with him and his newlywed pregnant wife, when previously he would go all Sunlight Yellow Overdrive at anything undead that so much as looked at him funny.

Also this is a dumb thing to complain about but a severed head shouldn't be able to talk because it has no lungs to expel air from.

Don't get me wrong, the adaptation did the best it could with the source material, I just think part 1's ending has always sucked.
