Thanks to Nui a shit tripfag for translating the kamui book scans
Shotabait Butler confirmed KLK fan.
She's too cute, that's the problem. But I think it looks way better than the PHAT scale and Banpresto's chibi prize figures.
It's yellow, that fucking seam, and it looks like she has fatrolls. The face also looks flat.
I really hope it'll look better when you can preorder it, because this is seriously too shit.
>somebody wasted their time sculpting that ugly piece of shit
Except you can clearly see her left eyebrow.
You are right that it really doesn't look finished, but at least it looks like an attempt at making a Satsuki figuring unlike the moeblob in OP.
>but at least it looks like an attempt at making a Satsuki figuring unlike the moeblob in OP.
That's right. You have to consider that the OP's image is a prizefig though, so it's cheaper.
Oh shit is it today? Are they also announcing the whole cast? This is going to be a treat, just a REAL treat.
Someone classy as fuck for Soroi
Someone that sounds sexy but at the same time like going to rape you in the next moment for Ragyou
Cannot think about anyone for Ryuko, original voice will be unbeatable.
Why would I bother with imitations when the original is right here?
I have a shrine devouted to her. I place tea at its base everyday
>Ryuuko, Satsuki, Mako
>Ryuuko, Satsuki, Mako
>Ryuuko, Satsuki, Mako
Why can't they show love to someone else?
Nothing will top the original, that's a crapshoot. But it might still be a decent dub.
I think Crispin Freeman is the one who fits Senketsu really well, I'd be shocked if they didn't go with that one.
Am I the only one who was utterly dissapointed with the ending, and retroactively most of Kill la Kill?
Everything up to the start of the tourney was just so glorious, it had all the atmosphere, style, and pacing of something grand yet subtle.
And then they just kind of shit the bed.
I mean, fucking look at how Ragyou was introduced and how she was shown later.
>Am I the only one who was utterly dissapointed with the ending, and retroactively most of Kill la Kill?
How do you even get disappointed retroactively. I get it the ending didn't live to your expectations, but it doesn't invalidate the earlier parts leading to it.
that satsuki figurine is going to get cummed on a lot, isn't it?
If there is any justice in the world,
Everyone was, in one way or another. The second cour, especially after episode 18, looked cheap and rushed.
I hated Nui's end, but I loved Ragyo's death. She went out like a boss.
>I loved Ragyo's death. She went out like a boss.
I actually find fault in that the most after they basically shove it in our face that destroying a hybrids heart is not enough to kill them.
>but I loved Ragyo's death. She went out like a boss.
Indeed she did. Just rendered everyone's murderboners in a constant state of blue balls.
Inu, Monkey, and Nonon should be your standard 6.5'' figures.
Then Gamagoori should be a 2ft figure
>People yesterday wondering why Isshin wasn't made to sound like a shit yesterday in his character description.
Probably because he's not.
>But he lied to his daughters!
Didn't exactly have any other choice
>But he didn't give Satsuki proper weapons to defeat Ragyo
Sure he did, what do you think pic related is?
He still could have communicated to his daughters and Nudist Beach better so that they didn't all end up on the verge of destroying each other.
Yeah but then there's no drama.
He seriously could have actually left Nudist Beach something, though. They were really completely lost in this whole thing.
But it's like Ryuko said, the scissor swords were not Isshin's Ultimate Weapon, it was her and Senketsu. They were created by Isshin Matoi and aimed by Satsuki Kiryuin. Even though Satsuki apologizes for treating her that way and obviously cares about her younger sister very much now that's essentially what she ended up being in the end.
Pic related is the exact reason why Isshin's a shit. Turned his daughters into weapons in his vendetta against his ex-wife. He created Senketsu but bound him to that same fate, and no matter how you slice it's always Isshin's fault he's dead.
He treated everyone as tools, and manipulated them all through revenge and misdirection, including Nudist Beach. He's no different than Ragyo, he's the Gendo to her Yui.
>tfw Gilbert Gottfried will never voice Sankats.
>Turned his daughters into weapons in his vendetta against his ex-wife.
Oh well, at least they both survived and can lick each others emotional wounds now that this is all over. But yeah they essentially were just both weapons. Satsuki was supposed to slowly work against her mother over a 13 year old period, then she was supposed to eventually gain Ryuko under her wing and she was supposed to be Satsuki's ultimate weapon. Now, Satsuki's pride(combined the fact that she didn't have all the proper information either) made it so she thought she was supposed to do it herself, but no. Her weapon to kill Ragyo wasn't Bakuzan, it was Ryuko
No he's an obsessive husband who uses his children as pawns in his obsessions with his wife. It's hate not love in this case, but it's the same motivation.
Meanwhile Ragyo and Yui are motivated by wanting to evolve humanity to a higher life form and meet their creators, and abandon their humanity for that end.
This is the story where Yui lives and Gendo dies.
Ragyo is Yui, they're both transhumanists who transcended humanity and became monsters.
The difference between Ragyo and Yui though is that Yui actually loved her son.
>Turned his daughters into weapons in his vendetta against his ex-wife.
I thought he did that to save the world.
Please clean your mind of all impure thoughts.
Scissor sisters obviously. But I wanted her killed, I didn't want her to suicide. Doesn't matter who kills her, I just think she should have been killed. You don't create such a piece of shit character and have it die an honorable death
I'm not an apologist, but that's essentially what Ryuko was. She says it herself, she's Isshin's Ultimate Weapon. Except she was aimed at Ragyo by Satsuki. Given the fact that Bakuzan was only a single sword and that Isshin knew you needed to cut from both sides it's likely that his intention was for Ryuko to be Satsuki's weapon against Ragyo. She was never supposed to attempt to cut her head off herself, which is why Satsuki's plan basically worked up until she got to the part where she needed to kill Ragyo.
She was supposed to train Ryuko, protects her and support her in the best way that she can. She did all of that.
Except none of that was planned. It was by sheer dumb luck that Satsuki even survived, and even then, all she did was give Ryuuko and Senketsu a bunch of uniforms to chow down on. In the end, it was all Ryuuko. And even then Isshin's a scumbag because Senketsu died doing the thing he was made to do.
You have no evidence. You have no argument. Shut the fuck up.
Give it up, anon. We've got fucking Isshin apologists in here. Today's just not your day.
> all she did was give Ryuuko and Senketsu a bunch of uniforms to chow down on
and trained her, and protected her from Nui and her and the Devas gave the physical support needed to break her out of Junketsu. Literally all things Trigger made it clear Nudist Beach could not have done.
>In the end, it was all Ryuuko
Not really, Ryuko would still be enjoying the high of Junketsu and probably would have been in it a lot earlier if Honnoji and its students did not exist/ He couldn't have honestly expected Nudist Beach to be her only support and for his daughters paths to never cross, especially since he gave them less support than he gave Satsuki.
So Isshin is either a master asshole or he's an idiot, take your pick.
I love how shipperfags don't even ship that shit
Actually there's one picture which appears to be made by a Western Artist made shortly after that episode aired, but that appears to be it.
Despite probably having less basis Satsuki and Takarada get more images like that.
>So Isshin is either a master asshole or he's an idiot, take your pick.
Oh, and most of the Satsuki shit you mentioned was part of her plan. I'm talking about everything that happened after they "joined forces" and she became useless like Nudist Beach.
Satsuki almost kind of is Senketsu's onee-san, isn't he?
>So Isshin is either a master asshole or he's an idiot, take your pick.
Well isn't that the point we're all trying to make? That Isshin was a terrible person?
Soichiro could have also not done anything, and instead stayed part of a happy family.
Until Ragyo fed the world to aliens. What would she have done with Soichiro and Satsuki if they didn't resist anyway? Put them both into Shinra Koketsu?
>Oh, and most of the Satsuki shit you mentioned was part of her plan.
Ryuko was technically not originally part of it, since Satsuki didn't know she existed. Her and the Devas were never going to be enough to kill Ragyo, Ryuko needs to be apart of it.
>I'm talking about everything that happened after they "joined forces" and she became useless like Nudist Beach.
She and the Deva's did all that they were intended to do by Isshin, it's just that they weren't told that. They were led to believe they could actually succeed without Ryuko being the forefront of it, which is why the plan worked until it got to the point where Satsuki needed to kill Ragyo, she didn't have the right weapon for it so it didn't work.
He either planned the entire show or it was just sheer dumb luck on his part that they met each other, because they wouldn't have been able to do this without the other one.
>What would she have done with Soichiro and Satsuki if they didn't resist anyway? Put them both into Shinra Koketsu?
I dunno. She had a plan with Satsuki involving Junketsu. Who the fuck knows what she was planning with Soichirou?
Takarada actually does have more basis to hit on Satsuki than Mohawk Man.
>or it was just sheer dumb luck on his part that they met each other
>because they wouldn't have been able to do this without the other one.
Too bad Trigger does a terrible job of showing that in the later episodes.
So... is it tentacles or life fiber D?
Not exactly the ideal Junketsu Ryuko x Nui situation in either case but close enough I guess.
> he never should have told her that her sister is dead.
He can't do that, though. Like you said, she's 5. She might accidentally have it slip out that that Ryuko is alive and then Ragyo will track them down. Satsuki needs to not be aware that Ryuko is life fiber infused and manipulate her own sister. This lack of information worked but didn't work at the same time as they both almost died on a couple of occasions.
Seriously? It doesn't make any fucking sense. He is a terrible human being who doesn't even come close to deserving someone a pure as Satsuki. BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY GOD DAMN IT
>Too bad Trigger does a terrible job of showing that in the later episodes.
It wasn't really that bad. Remove Satsuki, the Devas and Mako from the equation in Episode 21 and does Ryuko get out of Junketsu? It would be Nudist Beach and Senketsu vs Junketsu Ryuko and Nui.
They pretty much hate each other, Takarada thinks Satsuki is a self-righteous, condenscending bitch and Satsuki believes Takarada is a greedy, disgusting egoist.
It would be fun to watch them be forced to co-work together as the heads of the biggest nationwide conglomerates for some purpose and watch them bicker.
I agree. I think Satsuki is just making everything perfect. I remember seeing a Inumuta x Satsuki picture and I couldn't help but think how stupid that shit is, but at the same time, it was well drawn and I liked it.
>So... is it tentacles or life fiber D?
>Why didn't he tell Ryuuko she has a sister then?
She needs to be focused on the plan, she can't be worried about trying to find and connect with her nee-nee.
>Nigger, she didn't even know she had a sister when Ryuuko "died".
Right, because Isshin wanted Satsuki to use that as a symbol for motivation against Ragyo, except he can't tell Satsuki that Ryuko is alive because Ragyo can't find out.
I always thought he was one of the better matches for her.
He never submits himself to her, even when he's lying on the ground, his armies routed, his armour destroyed and his ass penetrated, he still shit talks her.
>Who do you want to see?
That should be obvious.
Now we just need Junk Ryuko giving Nui a nice rough love/hate shag and all will be right with the world.
Mako is the third main character, though. She isn't a side character. But I'd say that Satsuki is more important than her. You're kind of underrating Mako a little too, like Satsuki she bailed Ryuko out on multiple occasions.
They are all main characters, but KLK is Ryuko's story.
Dosh King is the only one with enough RESOLVE for her
That one is always so goddam cute, I love it.
You just can't handle how great Isshin is, father of the year motherfucker. Almost as great as Gendo.
>mfw KLK is all about Ryuko
KLK may disappoint in a dozen ways, but not that one.
It does for me. Up until the timeskip, I'd argue that KlK is Ryuuko and Satsuki's story. But after the timeskip, it becomes all about Ryuuko, and starts to decline in quality. In fact, I'd say that it starts dropping the moment Ryuuko wakes up from her coma. And it only gets worse from there.
But Satsuki explicitly hates him because he lacks any RESOLVE, or even resolve, at all.
He's the anti-traditionalistic no-nonsense kind of person who'll always attempt to make off with his life rather than die for any cause or honor.
They both consider themselves a social elite and don't hesitate to use others, Satsuki uses loyalty and duty to do so, while Takarada uses money. She finds that outright disgusting.
The only reason to ship them is the hate and potential bickering between them about their ideals and styles of life.
Anyone who ships them because "omg wat a cute couple I bet they'd like each other after some time :3c" is fucking delusional and the worst kind of shipperfag.
>But Satsuki explicitly hates him because he lacks any RESOLVE, or even resolve, at all.
That's what she thinks.
He had the courage and made great efforts to stand up to her invasion.
He didn't seemingly have anything to gain in perparing his defense at all, so it implies he does care for Osaka and his school.
>I'd argue that KlK is Ryuuko and Satsuki's story
Satsuki is actually my favorite character in the show, but aside from about 3 Episodes Ryuko gets all of the focus in the entire series, so this isn't correct at all.
Satsuki's story isn't irrelevant(mostly because it heavily involves Ryuko) and she's a really important character but the story in general is Ryuko's.
It's been some time now since the end of KlK and Senketsu's loss still hurts. The OVA without him is going to feel so lackluster.
It's gonna hurt like a motherfucker when we lost Mako too
Fuckin' nerds should have not obsessed over this shit like you have. Enjoy being jaded fucks while everyone else enjoys it for what it was.
The fact that the only ones who hate the fanbase are the fans themselves is pathetic. Like a bunch of little girls.
I agree, yet I disagree. Ryuuko's role for about half the series to be dragged around by events. It's not until after the timeskip that she becomes the driving force behind events, which is why we get stupid shit like "humans are humans and clothes are clothes" and other such nonsense.
>there will be a day when shit-kun will get bored and stops his shitposting
I do enjoy it for what it was, though. There only seems to be like a few people in these threads who have overanalyzed this shit to death and now hate it. Like this dude.>>107923617
Except he still comes in to these threads for some reason. Believe if I didn't still like KLK I wouldn't still be visiting here.
>Always fucking 4 because of moonspeak and the number's meaning
>No 5th Deva or any hint at one
Surely there were more than 4 superior students in the world, they could have even had a 5th kept in the dark from Satsuki's plan that aged out of High School and was hired by Ragyo as...something.
Like a Military Club president that became a REVOCs employee.
We'll do this whole schtick for the third time around, only this time he won't be there, but then he'll be back in the very end.
Or he'll show up as a ghost, an alien vampire ghost; one way or another Senketsu is getting in that OVA.
>No 5th Deva or any hint at one
Mako is essentially the honorary 5th Deva.
Iori is the 5th Deva, he wears a 3-star as well.
I mean a 5th Deva for foightin, even a past one that died in a flashback after hitting 20 and being corrupted by her uniform or something.
Or corrupted from delicious Ragyo / Nui rape.
Satsuki has the best harem
But Ryuko has the best husbando
You see, it may not seem that way some times, but Kill La Kill is balanced.
Not all Devas are for fighting, Inumuta's job was collecting field data. And it's not like one more fightem' Deva would make a difference.
shit man, I'm gonna need a source on that
Oh I can't wait for the threads for they are the best part.
That is true.
So am I interpreting this face right? For a second, she thought about going back to Earth with Ryuko?
>You will never be Ryuko and be able to enjoy Satsuki's softness.
>So am I interpreting this face right? For a second, she thought about going back to Earth with Ryuko?
Nah. That's her "Why did I drink and do all the drugs while I was pregnant?" face.
She realised she's never going to be able to jam her hand up Satsuki's butthole ever again.
And everyone ignores that Satsuki drove Bakuzan right through it and that they even talked about how this could not kill her.
I see myself as a major Ryukofag, but that no one of you got this.
>Ragyo "discomilf" Kiryuuin did nothing wrong
>Molests her daughters and treats them like tools
You know how many nightmares those poor girls are going to suffer through? They'll have to sleep in the same bed and hold each other for comfort.
>And everyone ignores that Satsuki drove Bakuzan right through it
She drove Bakuzan right through the center of Ragyo, not through her heart. It came out in between her breasts.
>being molested by ragyo
>Why the fuck did I procreate with that republican loser
Anyone else hope Ragyo left Satsuki a "going away" present just in case things didn't work out as planned?
>They'll have to sleep in the same bed and hold each other for comfort.
All according to keikaku
>caring about Bakuzan
Explain this shit. Bitch didn't even HAVE a chest cavity.
Fuck this, I want a do-over. Ragyo doesn't play fair.
>yfw all the Satsuki X Ragyo doujins are canon
I would've loved if they had introduced a concrete love interest for either of the daughters, just to have Ragyou show up, imitating one of their hairstyles and wearing an imitation of their outfit while she NTR's the dude away from them.
The more you know
Your sword lady Satsuki.
A-also I'm not a No Star.
We can always use more foightin anon, it's not like the villain roster couldn't have easily accommodated another by snatching a deva for themselves, preferably one that actually wears real clothing.
If only for the sole purpose of catering to the people who like clothed ladies over the rest of the cast.
I have something for the thread. English Dub theoretical cast speculation. I say Crispin Freeman as Senketsu
>Too bad that's all that she has for her
Yeah, like Ryuuko, who's cute and...
Or Satsuki, who's cute and...
Or Nui, who's cute and...
Well there was a concrete love interest for Ryuko, and Ragyo did show up and orchestrated NTR, except it was the dude getting NTR'd.
If I was to make a guess it is one thing if her heart is pierced in which case the hole would just heal back up. It's another if she crushes it. Not to mention she could have forced herself not to heal in which case it was an extremely difficult form of suicide mentally.
Ryuko - Michelle Ruff
Satsuki - Lauren Landa
Senketsu - Troy Baker
Mako - Cherami Leigh
Gamagoori - Travis Willingham
Sanageyama - Vic Mignogna
Inumuta - Derek Stephen Prince
Nonon - Cristina Valenzuela
Iori - Lucien Dodge
Mikisugi - Matthew Mercer
Kinagase - Patrick Seitz
Nui - Stephanie Sheh
Ragyo - Mary Elizabeth McGlynn
Hououmaru - Cassandra Lee Morris
Takarada - Sam Regal
Nagita - Johnny Yong Bosch
Suzuki - Bryce Papenbrook
Playing it safe; there's the very likely chance that it's non-union.
And Nui DID show up dressed up and promptly killed him
>Except all those others had a lot more going on rather than just being cheap fap material
>Ragyo lived because she cheated.
She probably slept with the director.
>But she's the director.
It all makes sense now.
Somebody. PLEASE do an edit of Ragyo with Imaishi's face on it.
Because it jumped the shark and killed tension by forcing an overwhelming powerspike in both the main characters and main antagonists that left the rest of the cast, which carried the series largely irrelevant. Plus it killed tension by ensuring that no conflict involving the main characters or main antagonists would be fatal or definitive or even contribute anything meaningful to the story until the very end.
The moment Shadyuko the Edgehog woke up the show took a huge step down.
They should have just not have had the Junketsu!Ryuko arc at all, and instead spent more time developing Ryuko and Satsuki's relationship, and more explanation of motives for Aikuro, Ragyo, Nui etc
They needed to address Ryuuko's abandonment issues at some point, but they should have got it over with in one episode and used that to lead into Ryuuko and Satsuki developing a relationship.
Or they could have used the cage scene to their advantage and thrown Satsuki in Junketsu, then switched it onto Ryuuko.
There was never any tension, even in the early episodes, all the battles amount to who can bullshit the other party more, and as Senketsu can just turn into anything and Ryuko is invincible it just so happens they could outbullshit everyone.
I hated Senzu beans more than SSJ. SSJ would've probably upset me more if the rest of the DB cast hadn't already been relegated to sideline gawking by Namek. But honestly, DBZ was never about the sidecharacters. Toriyama used them well enough in the original manga (lets face it, Goku was cute but the side characters carried that series pretty hard) but once he moved on to Z, he had a bloated cast of cameo characters that he had no real use for.
SSJ would've been a nice place to end the series, being pretty much the limit to how far you could develop Goku's character, but the fact that it kept going forced him to undermine that climax by arbitrarily handing the powerup to any character that he needed to be relevant for the next arc.
There were a lot of things wrong with how SSJ, but SSJ itself wasn't that big of a problem. Fiber hybrids was just a cop-out
Junketsu arc was the big goddam climax to Ryuko's character arc where she is forced to make the final choice about what's really important to her. It's the moment that makes Senketsu a hero and the point where he's become really human, and it's the moment that Satsuki accepts everything about Ryuko and goes away from the tyrant avenger persona she built around herself.
Too bad the whole arc sucks. Episode 21 is one of the worst in the series, only beaten out by what comes after. It's also bloated as fuck and a complete waste of time plot-wise. Not to mention that if you're not a diehard Ryuukofag, there's nothing for you to get invested in.
I thought the transformations were a neat gimmick and an interesting way to solve a lot of the battles, although you're right that It was so painfully obvious after Gamagoori that Ryuuko completely outclassed the Devas that the Nonon fight wasn't very interesting as a result.
I would've liked if She had been less of a punching bag in some of the early fights, because they showed the amount of damage she could sustain to completely out-strip all of her opponents, most of which she could instantly defeat with her named-attack. Turning fights into a waiting game where she tanks through all of their attacks until she sees the opening to one-shot them isn't exactly the most interesting approach.
So I guess making Ryuuko invincible was a mistake they made right from the start. They did kind of overdid it though with her huge powerup in the rebellion and most-wakeup, and I still don't like the fact that they showed the villains to be invincible so far from the conclusion. It's hard to care about Ryuuko and Nui fighting when you know neither of them can really kill each other and no damage sustained or outcomes of the fight will persist for more than an episode.
Well, I mean you're kind of supposed to be a ryuukofag. Stepping away from waifus for a moment, if you're not already invested in the show's main character, then the failure is a far more fundamental one.
You SHOULD have cared about Ryuuko, even if you liked a different girl more or had a waifu who wasn't her. If the series couldn't make you care about Ryuuko's character enough for you to be invested in her climactic turning point, then they straight fucked up a long way down the line.
Yes, they do. They even have a standard when it comes to working hours. See the documentary "I Know That Voice" and they describe it. Even go into Anime voice with with Steven Blum.
>then they straight fucked up a long way down the line.
A lot of people did care about Ryuko, all this guy does is in these threads is shitpost, you shouldn't have replied to him.
The plot is Ryuko. If you're not remotely invested in Ryuko than you're not gonna have a good time with the whole show. And 21 is one of the most Ryuko episodes of all.
It should have been Satsuki that was overridden by Junketsu, not Ryuko. They've been building up her problems with him since episode 3.
Also I wish she was the one thrown into Shinra Koketsu, not Hououmaru.
>women performing fellatio on Gama have to be standing up
>If the series couldn't make you care about Ryuuko's character enough for you to be invested in her climactic turning point, then they straight fucked up a long way down the line.
Actually, I think you might have a point. See, I never found Ryuuko to be particularly engaging early on. But I always saw her as the "most" normal of the cast early on. I actually started to like Ryuuko during the Battlefield Trip when it seemed like she was growing as a person. But then they completely shit on all that growth after timeskip and she's the most annoying thing on screen for 3 episodes. Doesn't help either that the show essentially stops until she's done being a retard.
Truth be told I was a Satsukifag for most of the series. Back when it looked as though you could pick one or the other and still come out satisfied.
It should have been Satsuki first, then Ryuuko because Ragyo's found a more suitable recipient for her "wedding dress". Kill two birds with one stone.
Pretty much. Fuck Ryuuko.
>Nonon would have to stand on her tip-toes just to get her mouth around the head.
God, the potential is endless
Not him, I did love Ryuuko (I still like her) but I think her character got boring after a while. Part of the reason why some people say the bakemono arc and the final episodes are bad, is because we didn't really see anything new from the characters. Ryuuko loses it, Mako and Senketsu help her, Satsuki is her usual self, etc. I wanted to see something new from them, and the whole clothing-is-clothing-we're-not-making-any-sense! was just terrible.
The show doesn't really have a "fundemental problem" with people not connecting to Ryuko and caring about that arc, obviously not everyone is going to get behind her there but I don't really believe it was a widespread problem of people not being invested in her.
>Satsuki is her usual self, etc
She kind of isn't, she acts close to it because she's fighting, but that fight is the first step she takes to not being such a huge bitch. For her, wearing Senketsu and acknowledging that he probably hates her is significant.
>Not to mention that if you're not a diehard Ryuukofag, there's nothing for you to get invested in.
Well, I think the Devas fighting JunketsuRyuko was pretty cool. Showed how useful they could be even without their uniforms.
It was absolute shit for Mohawk Man tho
>she acts close to it because she's fighting
Wait... that was supposed to be fighting?
>Well, I think the Devas fighting JunketsuRyuko was pretty cool. Showed how useful they could be even without their uniforms.
But they didn't accomplish anything. Their plan failed. Miserably.
Yeah ironically, Satsuki was the one who grew the most as a character during Ryuuko's supposedly climactic arc.
I felt like the problem with the wedding dress bit was just that it was like the 3rd time that Ryuuko had lost her way and she snapped pout of it the same way she had both times previous. Sure, the stakes were higher, but ultimately we knew exactly how it was going to play out because it had already played out several times. Ryuuko gets angsty, Ryuuko gets angry, Ryuuko loses her way, she fights Satsuki and then Mako and Senketsu fix her by reminding her she has friends. It's almost a formula by that point and it was tiring knowing that she was being stupid for the same old reasons and that she'd be fixed in the same old way.
They tried the bait and switch with Mako but it was already obvious by that point that Mako was immune to deathflags so in the end everything lacked impact and seemed too familiar.
Up until that point Satsuki had always thought Ryuko's Way was a load of shit, a fairy tale is what she called it. That she, of all people, accepted Senketsu as a person and that they both trusted each other to save Ryuko, that's the proof that Ryuko's Way wasn't wrong. It's what the whole shows all about.
>Then why is it that it seems so insignificant now?
It...wasn't? It wasn't significant in battle, but psychologically for Ryuko and Satsuki it was. Hell Ryuko was basically ready to forgive her after she did that anyways, she just wanted a punch because she's a delinquent and that's how she settles things. Satsuki took it a step further.
Like timid womanly or how she looks? Because the latter is how she looks proportion wise.
>that's the proof that Ryuko's Way wasn't wrong.
It was a fairy tale that humans and Life Fibers could ever get along in any meaningful way. Not even Ryuuko believed in that anymore by the end. Kinue's dream was a load of shit.
Just let them be.
They won't even watch it or give it too much attention because of the "blatantly disgusting fanservice and sexualization".
Of course, me and you know it's tightly tied to the plot, but they don't give a shit and lets' keep it that way.
Satsuki and the Devas moved Ryuko in to proper position for their first plan, which didn't work. Then they managed to keep Nui away after Satsuki started it by messing with Nui's head for the second attack which gave Senketsu the opening he needed. They were outmatched physically but managed to get the job done.
>They were outmatched physically but managed to get the job done.
Hardly. And don't forget the whole thing was animated like ass. Nah, the Devas were shit in that episode and so was Satsuki. The only people who really mattered were Mako and Senketsu.
Ryuko's way wasn't for humans and life fibers to get along, it was for her and Senketsu to get along. It was two people who are seemingly as far removed as humanly possible living for each other, that's what Satsuki accepted.
>I can't stand Tom Cruise, because now I just see him as Tom Cruise not whoever he is portraying
>not wanting a movie where Tom Cruise dies a bunch of times to save the earth by reliving the same day
I don't even see his character as a character. Just Tom Cruise waking up on some duffel bag and saving the world from Lord Xenu.
>it was for her and Senketsu to get along. It was two people who are seemingly as far removed as humanly possible living for each other, that's what Satsuki accepted.
Well that's fucking stupid. No shit Ryuuko got along with her shirt. She's been doing that all series.
No, you're right. I am not even remotely invested in whatever Edgy McEdgehog was doing.
>I hope they redrew the whole episode.
They did. We've seen a couple of the frames already. It's definitely improved. I won't bother rewatching it though because I just don't like the episode period.
>The only people who really mattered were Mako and Senketsu.
Can you at least have your shitposts make some modicum of sense? I'd really like to see Mako and Senketsu beat Nui and Ryuko without having any help from Satsuki and the Devas.
Well actually the only person who really matters is Senketsu, but everyone else fought to get Senketsu to her, because at that point in the story he's almost totally helpless by himself.
Eh, I actually rather liked the fact that most of the show managed to look decent with totally ass animation. It worked with the style and was visually interesting, like watching a manga. I would've preferred if they had avoided some of those hyper-animated fight sequences and kept it consistent.
As it stands the show had some honestly amazing sequences of animation, but it's not a series you would ever praise for its animation. It's more praiseworthy for its ability to not use animation than anything else, so the times where they just dumped budget into a fight sequence were a lot less interesting to me.
Had the Devas seen even a modicum of success? Maybe. I'll say that they did a splendid job keeping Nui away, sorta. But as far as dealing with Ryuuko? Not even close.
When it comes to story, only Mako Senketsu really matter, and even then only Senketsu. Everyone else is secondary.
But she got along so well with her shirt that she was able to throw away her hate and revenge, and accept all the terrible things her parents dumped on her. You're right in that shes been doing that all series, but there's a lot of stuff she needed to get over, and she had to get along really really well to be able to do that.
The entire episode is basically the girls trapped in a hospital during a snowstorm with all of the villains by sheer coincidence. Business villain guy has a backstory flashback. He was the son of rich parents and on his parents liked to give to charity, so on his birthday they gave his feast away to a homeless beggar who came by. Next day there's an apocalypse and his house collapses, trapping both of his parents. Homeless guy comes back and loots their stuff before leaving them to die and tells the kid to fuck off when he asks for help, then kid gets crushed and ends up a cripple. Cut to orphanage with him sitting in bed as a cripple, rich business guy walks in and straight up adopts him out of the blue, because "he has nice eyes" and gives him cyborg limbs. Cut back to hospital and he's shooting patients because he hates poor people. Main characters are about to get shot when *gasp* "h-hikari da!" and a mysterious light from the lolis pendant saves them all.
The pirate guy is there, too, but he does fuck all.
I gave up at that point.
Like I said, at least have your shitposts make sense, please. Saying that Senketsu could have given emotional support and physical support alongside protecting Mako from Ryuko and Nui is absolutely ridiculous.
Satsuki and the Deva's were supposed to provide the physical support and they did that, for all the shit talking people do about humans being insignificant in Episode 21 two life fiber infused aliens were defeated by 4 naked humans, an autist and a sentient skirt.
And isn't that how it should be? It's not about a big dumb battle on a ship, it's never about a big dumb battle, it's about Ryuko's feelings. The people who are important to Ryuko are the ones who can reach her, and only the person whose most important to her can save her.
I'm saying that Senketsu providing the emotional support is what really mattered. Nui was playing around with Satsuki and the Devas. She was never serious because she thought she had Ryuuko locked down.
So that "defeated by 4 naked humans" is more of a "barely kept up with a Life Fiber infused alien who was fucking around because she was sure that her waifu wouldn't be seduced by the talking alien shirt."
So, yeah, my shitposts make sense. Fuck you.
Maybe it is just this.
Especially after Satsuki and Ragyou even talked about it.
Destroying her heart is not enough to kill her, that is what the entire beheading was for.
Add to that Ragyou's hands are at times harder than hardend life fibers.
>I'm saying that Senketsu providing the emotional support is what really mattered.
Except it's not, at all. It's significant but you need both emotional and physical.
>Remove Satsuki and the Devas from that fight.
Nui kills Mako and steals Senketsu, the end.
Requesting webm of Ryuko's final transformation
>the hybrid gets the hardest job
Ha, wow. Ok then, keep trying to convince yourself you hate this show then.
I don't think people WANT to think that humans are significant. All you people want to do is just downplay anything anyone besides Ryuko does and then complain that no one besides Ryuko did anything. You're all fucking autistic.
>Especially after Satsuki and Ragyou even talked about it.
>Destroying her heart is not enough to kill her, that is what the entire beheading was for.
>Add to that Ragyou's hands are at times harder than hardend life fibers
And yet people still try and defend it. This show is stupid and makes no sense. TRIGGER fucking admitted that. They had no clue what they were doing.
>The Naked Sun never leaves the harbor?
It would have left in an attempt to get Ryuko anyways, since she was in same place. She was going to fight them eventually, had Satsuki been there or not since they're technically still the only opposing force.
I love this show a lot, but loving Ryuko is a hard job, the hardest job. If Senketsu wasn't a life fiber hybrid, if he was just a regular person, he couldn't pull this shit off.
>but loving Ryuko is a hard job, the hardest job. If Senketsu wasn't a life fiber hybrid, if he was just a regular person, he couldn't pull this shit off.
Probably because she's a shit. Admit it, Senketsu may have a saint's patience, but he has terrible taste in waifus. Well, it's not like he really had a choice thanks to Isshin.
I suppose you could say that his taste was so bad it killed him.
I'm not saying that Senketsu didn't have an important job, but it's fucking retarded to complain that the human side characters did absolutely nothing while at the same time downplaying what they did to because you perceive that someone else maybe having a harder job completely invalidates it.
>Senketsu could not have saved his waifu without the humans help.
>Hurr, but he ultimately did it so fuck humans and fuck Trigger for making them useless.
That's not a she anon.
Why even go through the trouble of designing mechs as cool as the DTRs if you aren't going to do anything with them?
I'm not the same guy, but I've keep text documents filled with important things like
Electric Shamisensand One Last Farewells
Fuck, that's what I miss most about KLK threads
electric shamisens intensifying
The humans in this show protected Ryuko and Senketsu, trained her and helped save her life on multiple occasions. I don't know what else people even expected them to do outside of killing Ragyo themselves, in which case what did you expect Ryuko and Senketsu to do? Why did Ryuko and Senketsu kill Ragyo alone? BECAUSE THE HUMANS LITERALLY DID FUCKING EVERYTHING ELSE
>If Senketsu wasn't a life fiber hybrid, if he was just a regular person, he couldn't pull this shit off.
That's funny because Satsuki is pure blood human and has no trouble at all. Sounds like Senketsu is just a pussy.
>BECAUSE THE HUMANS LITERALLY DID FUCKING EVERYTHING ELSE
Like destroying the transmitter that accomplished... And fighting off the COVERS that were... And... feeding Senketsu their uniforms so he and Ryuuko could do... everything...
But I love humans, we all would've been screwed without Satsuki and her boys. Senketsu certainly wasn't about to fight Junko by herself, nor could he if he wanted to before the realization that he is a hybrid.
I'm just saying, Senketsu job is super tough, without a doubt the toughest. And Ryuko ain't gonna love herself, that's for DAMN sure.
