It's hard to say, it all depends on execution.
Seeing a guy utterly destroy his opposition is fun as long as you make it look cool and distinct when he does it, otherwise it gets stale. On the other hand, winning and losing fights can make things feel uncertain, which can make for some surprises or doubts.
